Looking for StoneScape AquaBlue,MidnightBlue,TropicsBlue in SoCa
Comments (1)I'm not in So Cal, but I did just have our pool done with Midnight Blue Stone Scapes Mini's with Tahoe Blue Plaster. It's alittle darker then the Tahoe Blue which was the look we were going for and it came out perfect. We have not been in the pool yet other then on the tanning ledge some and it feels nice and smooth. Will get a picture up tomorrow when I am back at the house....See MoreStonescapes Tropics blue pics
Comments (10)laff66: Thank you for posting. Your water color is really beautiful. It's what I had imagined: a little darker than our Aqua Blue. As for the pool and spa color not of the same shade of color, that is really normal. With a lighter color plaster, water in the spa will be lighter; with a darker color plaster, water in the spa will be darker. As for our Aqua Blue, our spa water is more blue. Fauxnecian: Your Caribbean Blue will not be too dark. The plaster that's mixed with the pebble is on the light gray side whereas, Tropics Blue is medium gray....See MoreStonescapes mini pebble color
Comments (6)Hi andtrevmommy! I really love our Mauve stonescapes mini. I agonized over that decision (along with many others, but probably most about that one selection) and it's the only decision I have not had any regrets about. We looked at several pools our PB had done with stonescapes including midnight blue, tahoe blue, caribbean blue and the mauve. I was originally leaning towards midnight blue, but when I saw one in person I didn't like the way the stones looked, the blue/red pebbles reminded me of fish tank gravel and my husband felt it produced a bit too dark of a water color for his taste (I still LOVE midnight blue stonescape pools though), tahoe blue then came close to being it but I kept having doubts, the pools we saw with tahoe blue were a little less deep in color and ever so slightly twinged with green. The mauve is kinda crazy, check out my original thread, the plaster process was insane, BARNEY EXPLODED in my pool, but the water color is interesting, different, very pretty in my opinion and many of our visitors have commented on the gorgeous water color. We love it. I will warn you, I'm not a fan of seeing the mauve stonescapes close up at the top of the water, it's pinkish to me on steps, that is why we did the flagstone beach entry and why we placed the steps and bench where we did. Just my 2 cents. I LOVE the mauve! Would do it again in a heartbeat! I'm not in love with the water color after dark with the lights on, it's boring and greenish....I wish we had done the led (?) lights to spice up the color after dark. :)...See MoreHelp! Comments (23)Sounds like you got the wrong color. Can you post some pictures? I have the tropics blue and it looks just like the pictures dogpaddle posted. It is a beautiful blue color and not dark at all. Have you given your startup chemicals time? On initial fill the water will look darker and greener. Should clear in a few days. We also were the victim of a shoddy stonescapes job - there were dark splotches all over that did not go away after 2 weeks of brushing. Had to do a drain and acid wash to fix. Also have a less than perfect trowel job which frustrates me but nothing can be done about it and PB considers it normal....See Morekymberleee
