Do any of you remember any particularly good April Fool jokes or pranks? Was anything done on your tv/radio station this morning?

One year (in the 60's) my dad got up in the middle of the night, changed all the clocks, and all four of us kids got to school an hour early that day!

My younger brother's birthday is April 1st. When we were kids one year my sister and I wrapped up a huge box for his birthday. It was empty and when he opened it we had a note inside saying April Fools. He was probably only 7 or 8 at the time. We are a couple of years older than him. Looking back I think it was a mean thing to do because he was so excited over the huge present.

A-Hem. Well...since you asked.... *grin*.... A VERY long time ago- about, oh, 18 years or so - I was at a slumber party with a couple of friends. We were roasting marshmallows on a bonfire, out in the front yard. And, since this was out in the sticks (and I mean...WAY out in the sticks, the closest neighbor was 5 miles away, and the closest neighbor to THEM was 5 miles away......ANYHOO....pardon, too many brownies, My mind tends to wander....) SOOOO....this was out in the sticks, and there were chickens running around in the yard. Poor, helpless, defenseless chickens. Lots and lots of chickens. So there we were, using old wire coat hangers (unfolded, of course) to roast marshmallows. Then, the unthinkable, un-avoidable, and totally a waste of good marshmallow happens. My marshmallow caught fire. And I don't mean *fire*. I mean....FLAMING, INCINERATING, little-ball-of-DEATH type fire. Yay. Naturally, I'm calm and collected....while the other girls are screaming their fool heads off. "YOUR MARSHMALLOW'S ON FIRE! YOUR MARSHMALLOW'S ON FIRE!!!!" Yeah, duh..... So, I react in an appropriate manner, of course. I start waving the coat hanger/marshmallow fire ball in the air, hoping to fan out the fire. Next thing I know, the marshmallow goes flying off the end of the wire, whizzing through the air.....ZOOOOMMMM!!!!...... And smacks a poor chicken RIGHT ON THE NOGGIN. Still flaming, with marshmallow-ey goo going everywhere, the poor chicken runs around bock-bocking all over the place. We all run for the water hose, and put the chicken out... But she didn't make it. :O( Guess what we had for supper the next night? Yep, roasted chicken!

Happy April Fool's Day everyone. Hugs to everyone who needs them. We got here on Saturday & got everything unloaded Sunday. We got the truck taken back on Monday. I still have a few things to put up but for the most part, everything is in its place. It looks really nice. Here is the sad news. We took our furbabies to the vet yesterday. The oldest one, Lucy, has heartworms. We have to take her back on Monday to have them staged. We have had her a week today & have already had to pay out the wazoo for her. We love both the little ones. Just trying to figure out how we are going to afford the treatment. It is very, very sad & I wish I could say that this was an April Fool's joke but it isn't. Besh~I know how you feel. Dave tells everyone that it took us 10 years to even be able to consider having another dog after we had to give ours up when we moved to Florida. We were still crying every time we said their names. These 2 little ones have already brought us so much joy. If you or RAEANNE could let me know the best thing to pick up hair, I would appreciate it. Papillons are not supposed to shed but IDK if it is b/c of stress or b/c they weren't groomed properly or petted enough, they are shedding. Not as much now as they were a week ago!!! I cannot tell you how far they have come in a week. I'm so glad that Maddie got to do Rabbit, Rabbit. LOL I got Dave this morning. He has been winning a lot lately. I am thinking about all of you & I wish I had been able to write down what each of you said so I could comment but I have the computer on my bed right now & 2 dogs & a snoring husband in a pear tree! LOL I hope that all the MIAs will come out & play. Did we ever find out what happened with John? I miss him. He snagged himself a GF & doesn't have time for us anymore, right? It is supposed to be in the 90s here this weekend so our 4 year old granddaughter is playing 2 soccer games tomorrow & we are going to watch them. Hope everyone else enjoys their weekend. I will make the ultimate sacrifice & get a sunburn for everyone if you want me to. ;)

The other seams suffered from improper excess squeeze-out removal. Seam adhesive shrinks when it cures, so you have to over fill and scrape off the squeeze-out to flush. If you flush it when it's wet, it will cure below flush. If you run a chisel down the squeeze-out after it's cured, you'll flush it, but you'll tear out chunks below flush. When those inevitably become contaminated, the seam will look horrible. Those seams needed the blow-outs filled before contamination to look good, hence the tinted superglue recommendation. Accelerator is a chemical that's applied topically that cures superglue nearly instantly. You get it at the hobby stores or online. Your seam will not look good with tinted superglue because it's not flush. Superglue feathered from the high side to the low doesn't look good. It would have to be separated and done again, not a DIY project.

My grandmother *claimed* her birthday was March 31, but I think she just didn't want to be called a Fool. She enjoyed April Fools Day too much for it not to have been her birthday, and this was not a woman who cracked a smile often. I remember her waking me one morning, telling me to hurry and look at the big snowfall that had happened overnight. APRIL FOOL!

a few years ago, while I was president for the local bike club, our monthly meeting fell on my birthday/April Fools Day.

I showed up with a soft collar, like you wear if you have whip lash. Told everyone I was in an accident.

At the end of the meeting, while I was up front, I reached back, and took my collar off, and tossed it to the members, and said, April Fools. It was a hoot.

Yesterday, I had my hair colored. This morning, while serving breakfast at the school, it was truly fun to see the kids reaction. Not so speak of my boss. She just had to look away.. cause she cracked up when she looked at me.

I am having a BLAST with this hair, and can't wait, till my girls see it. One comes later today, the other tomorrow.

My 13 year old grand daughter changed her mom's phone from English to Manderin Chinese and her siri to Spanish. Daughter threatened to take DG's phone away for a month- - no joke!

Hi Moni,

It's good to see what you look like - apart from the hair colour.

Last year our female minister, who's about to retire this year, died ( mistake - that's "dyed") her hair purple ... to be done if her friends, parishioners, etc. raised a certain sum for charity to build a school for African kids.

She got her doctorate either last year or the year before, as well.

ole joyful ... who lacks enough hair on top to show up much, even were he to dye it
