I'm guessing most birds have to 'do it' that way. I dunno, never saw them do it missionary.... ahm,,,

My birds have a quicky at least once a day and yes, I used to be tramatized if I happened to be sitting near by. They have their funny sounds they make and the girl seems to have the least interesting part. :?/

I try not to give them any attention during their private time, like they care. :)

I have had the misfortune of seeing Chickens mate. I wouldn't want to be a Hen.

By far the worst experience was Duck mating. The Male holds the Female underwater. Think goodness it didn't last long. (That was on the Golf Course in Public View).

I guess, "Not tonight Honey, I have a headache", doesn't fly.

I saw monkeys in the wild. Well, it was on TV but was the funniest thing. They were sneaking and really seemed like teenagers trying not to get caught. He'd run to her, hump hump, and run away so they could look out for passersby. Run to her, hump hump, and run away again. Not so shocking as your sneak-a-peak but sure was funny.

My alltime favorite was going to the aquarium in the spring and noticing that the male whale had what looked like a smaller sized long fish swimming under him. Well...you know the term "hung like a horse"? That horse doesn't hold a candle to that whale!!! THe funniest thing was listening to the various parents trying to explain what that "other" fish was who was stuck to the bottom of the whale!!!!

LMAO......I seen a pair of robins getting at it last week...lol

LOL Heather. It seems to be the season for birds mating.

A few weeks ago I visited an ostrich farm with my DD and her friend. I was feeding one when suddenly she let out a "gak" her neck went up and she did this "dying swan" thing. I thought I'd done her in LOL.

Then a male came racing across the corral and mounted her. Ostriches make growling,purring noises while mating.

The males are quite well endowed as well as being beautiful.

i guess if you can say sex is pretty, seahorses are winners. they sort of wrap around each other...they used to have this place in la jolla that had seahorse tanks in dining room...talk about an interesting place to see "action", lol...

I really should have gone to the bathroom before I read this post...ROFLMAO...do you need therapy??...the doctor is in...deposit 5 cents please...

Oh my goodness. I am traumatized. If only I had a fainting sofa!!!! LOL!!!! I don't guess it would help much. It would be covered with dogs.

We live on a lake, and when the grands were younger, they'd ask why that big duck is trying to drown the other one?

I felt the same way when I found two bugs mating on my arm. HOW RUDE.

This brings to mind my friend who was with his son in the pasture a few years ago. They saw a bull and a cow together and the little boy asked his dad, why doesn't he just go around instead of jumping over her?

When I was in High school we took a trip to the Omaha zoo. We happened to see to Rhino's going at it. Our principal was in charge of our group and his face turned so red as he rushed us along. I did get the chance to take a picture of them.

The second time was when DH and I were in the San Diego Zoo. They were letting people feed the giant tortoises. We looked over to the corner and there were 2 tortoises getting it on. The sounds they were making were so loud and funny, Dh and I about died laughing.

I was on a golf course and waiting to tee off, we gals were watching a mama robin trying to get a worm out of the ground, all the while a young robin (I asumed it was one of hers) was standing there with its mouth wide open waiting for the worm. All of a sudden a male robin swooped down and mounted her, and we all said guess men are all alike! LOL Dottie

LOL!! I have a bunch of horny doves in my backyard. There is even a pair of gay doves ... no kidding, they preen and pose and then mate ... then do it all over again with the other dove on top. They've been back a few times, so I am sure that is what is going on, LOL!!

I was riding my friends mare when another friends stallion decided to mount her..I slipped off to just miss his love bite by a smidge!!!!

The sparrows have been prolific in my back yard for weeks..and the Anna's humming birds I've had with me all fall and winter..are now nesting..I watched that love twist too..

I saw 2 snails doing it by my planter box one day outside the kitchen door.I wasn't very nice though,i stepped into the kitchen,grabbed the salt shaker and ended it for them.I'm sure they melted with a smile on their face.LOL

LOL The male pigeons around here having been driving me crazy with their dances and strutting. Silly things even fall off the tree. I don't know which ones are doing all the moaning the male or female but I wish they would stop. LOL I need to turn the radio on to drown them out.

I don't have just one pigeon there must at least 6 that roost on my neighbour's roof.

When I was a kid, I saw two flies stuck together, flying by. I asked my Dad what they were doing, he changed the subject. I figured it out a few years later.

i'm paying myself a nickel...this afternoon DH and I were driving around and were pulling into a friends driveway and the BIG BOY Daddy Goose flew right at and into the car...he was protecting the wife and babies off to the side...scared us both cause we both worried we had hurt him...but he was just protectin his turf! Nuttin like a goose tryin to commit HariKari into your car!

What I failed to admit to, was that I went to You Tube and typed in Grackle Sex, and Grackle Mating hoping to find a video of it to show DH. Or maybe to laugh about it again?

This thread brings back memories of growing up on the farm. Dad didn't have a bull so the Artificial Inseminator man would come and "do it" to the cows. Of course my brother and I would run to the barn to watch. Here's a nickel, liz, I obviously need some help.

Heather, your post has me cracking up! And remembering a time long ago when I asked my hubster what was 'wrong' with the frogs in the front flowerbed...they were foaming and 'together'!

Just call me Lisa, Lisa Douglas from Green Acres! He told me what they were up to and I promptly went back in the house with my flashlight.

I just remembered after reading these posts about a picture DH took. He and Ricky were looking for bugs to take pictures of and Ricky starting yelling "I found a double bug papa" ...this is what he found...to this day he thinks it's a rare double bug thanks to papa! I just hope he never talks about his "rare" find at school and the teacher want to see this picture!
