Well, I didn't have the success I thought I would...

It's my first year giving an honest attempt at wsing. I did about 20 containers of what I read as "fool-proof" seeds for newbies (poppies, rudbeckia, Pcf, etc).

My best germination came from store-bought seeds. I have snapdragons (I sewed these heavily) in 3 jugs that are VERY thick. Poppies in 1 jug are the same way. But I have maybe 3 rudbeckia sprouts, 2 PCF, 5 gallardia? I did multiple jugs of all those because I wanted plants that would spread, and are easy to care for. They never got too dry, I bottom-watered 1x a week, drainage was good, it just wasn't the 'WOW' I thought it would be (with the exception of the poppies and snapdragons).

Do I still need to be patient b/c of my location? This is making me seriously consider buying all my seed this summer/fall and skip trading and SASBEs altogether.
