Replacing laundry sink flange questions

lsst

I bought a used laundry sink and cabinet and once connected, there is a small leak from the old drain flange.

I unscrewed the nut and carefully removed the sink flange.

The old putty was crumbling and missing in places. There were no gaskets.

The drain flange is in good shape.

Can I reuse the flange? Do I need to use rubber gaskets? If so where?

I could buy a new flange kit for about $6 that has the gaskets included. Would this be a better idea?

Also, the sink flexes some when filled with water, should I use plumbers putty or 100% silicone to seal the flange to the sink?

Thanks in advance!
