Help me come up with an act for a talent show!
Comments (31)When I was a Sweet Adeline, one of the funniest skits I ever saw was a silly demonstration of how to put on stage makeup. One lady put the make up onto another lady who was seated on the stage. She did it very badly, totally overdid it and exaggerated everything while doing a running commentary along the lines of "Plenty of eyeliner, ladies! The audience needs to see those eyes!" (and giving the model raccoon eyes) etc. It had everyone totally in stitches with tears of laughter running down our faces....See MoreCat acting different, but not sick
Comments (6)So a week later, and Max is still acting different. He's eating and eliminating without any problems, and isn't hiding. He plays with our other cat (they chase each other around) and does his other normal activities. He just won't cozy up to us like he was doing a few weeks ago. For example, he would jump in my lap every time I sat down, and now he hesitates for a long time or won't come to me even after coaxing. As I said in my earlier post, he had gotten in the habit of sleeping on the bed, and would snuggle up to me every night. For the past couple of weeks, he hasn't jumped on the bed at all. He doesn't seem to be in pain. I did call the vet, and they said I could bring Max in to get another urine test. I guess that's what I'll do this weekend, just to make sure he is okay. Any other ideas on what could cause this behavior change? FWIW, during the time when he was obviously uncomfortable with the UTI and when we were giving him medicine twice a day, he was still acting affectionate....See Moreproblem with neighborhood cat beating my cat up
Comments (8)I spayed/neutered many cats that come to my house hungry and hanging around periodically. I go house to house for several streets with a flyer that has the cats description and photo, leaving it their newspaper box if no one is home. I also post an ad on Craigslist. then after 2 weeks I go ahead and humanely trap the cat. my local Humane Society will TNR (spay/neuter/vaccinate) for a small fee or donation. then I release the cat after they have recovered (24 hours for females). If they are friendly, the HS will find them a home w/the option of my taking them back. if mean, I release them. I've not had one cat that I TNRed ever have an owner. ALL were abandoned. the ones that live on my street and have owners I recognize, some are well fed and have collars. Neutering Mr Meany will most likely stop the roaming, spraying and fighting. BUT if you take Blackie exclusively indoors (which is awesome!) you will most likely "adopt" another cat that will hang around your house. such is the case w/me when I incorporate a cat into my family and keep them exclusively indoors. I currently have a "meany" tom that lives in my basement via a cat door. took 2-1/2 yrs & now he is the sweetest guy ever!...See More3 yr old neutered cat acting strange....
Comments (5)Hi Sylvia, Took Bud in at 4:30 yesterday. They couldn't get a pee sample out of his bladder so they kept him overnight. DH and I felt awful having him stay there. We were there at 8 this morning soon as it opened. We knew he would have pee'd and they'd have a sample so hopefully we could take him home. Otherwise it would have been until 5:30 before we could get him. He does have an infection so they gave him 2 shots which will last 2 weeks. We're to take him in for a follow-up in a couple weeks. So it looks good, and he's real happy to be home! The other cats missed him too....See Morestir_fryi SE Mich
