"Be quiet" "Get in here". Both said to the dogs, lol.

When family/friends ask me how I am I usually answer with "peachy"....not sure why/how it started. I don't say that if I am asked on the phone/in person at the office tho.

While I am listening to someone telling a story, I seem to say "really" alot.....which is a dumb thing to say.

I am sure there is more...I just know that I will catch myself when I am saying these...after I have said it of course!

"No problem" and "thanks". I say "thank you" all the time, even when I am doing something for a client at work. I seem to say "thanks" when I hang up the phone.

Have noticed I say "Oaky Dokey" way too much these days. Have been trying to work on that.

At this point in my life, it would be "No, Grant" LOL

I say "Uh..." too often.

Holy Cow--it's a replacement for something not nearly as nice.

"Down!" - to the cat (when he is on the kitchen counters, dining room table, knocking things off tables, etc.)

"Ooooo Tah Budwheat" (I don't know why...I like the Lil Rascals)

"Mama don't play that" When Main Man wants a good argument.

The other one is: "Pawle, what have you got in your mouth?"

I say several times a day, mostly to myself...I need to lose weight.

I also tend to drop the f-bomb way more than anyone should...mostly when I'm alone or with my husband. (We just finished watching 'The Wire'. 'Corner boys' can't put a thought together without the f-bomb...)

Didn't really notice I say "surely you jest" a heck of a lot until it was pointed out to me, and now I hesitate and catch myself before I say it, but I think people wonder why I'm hesitating....LOL ~ some things I figure you just can't win, eh?

I think that I say no,no (insert Rhiannon, Peyton, Hayden) just about a hundred times a day.

The other thing in conversation is did you know, like, really and uh huh to DH when I am not paying attention to him.

I never noticed how much i say "whaTT" (emphasis the T) to my kids. A few years ago i noticed my DD began say "whaTT"(emphasis the T) that way too. It sounds like she/we are angry. When we are not. I try not to say it anymore.

I too am a "Really???" person....I'm saying"Oh really" all the time. But, the one thing thats a constant is, "Well, alrighty.....don't have a clue why....no one else in my family ever says it......I think my Dad may have used the term occasionally.....

I start sentences to my kids with 'clearly' a lot, as in "Clearly you were expected to shovel the driveway instead of just driving through the snowbank." I guess I use it in place of 'obviously.'

Well, I had to chime in here...I've never said "jeez louise", maybe because my name is Louise, lol.

I cuss too much. Mostly here alone...not in conversations with other people.

I say, "Well, there is that...." when somebody states the obvious! LOL

To DH, who is a mumbler: "I'm sorry?" or "Say that again?" or "What?"

To my cat, BB, when she's smacking the other cat on the forehead: "BB, leave her alone!!"

I tend to start a lot of sentences with "I was just reading online..."

"I don't want to talk about it"
(when I'm caught off guard, dumbfounded, don't like the way something was said, on the defensive, said in the wrong way, said sarcastically)

These days, the favorite at our house is "I must have misspoke."

'Chillaxin' or Dawg
Both words I've heard so much in my teenagers conversation that I've picked them up
Chillaxin- (just chilling-relaxing)
Dawg (slang for friend/buddy)

I texted her a message at school recently along the lines of 'I got you ham and swiss Dawg'(I was grocery shopping) (she reads her messages between classes...I hope...well probably not) and later one of her friends was reading her meassages and said 'I can't believe you mother says Dawg' and showed it to someone else. LOL!

I'm sorry. I tend to be quick to say that to people, and it's been pointed out to me that many times I don't need to say it. I apologize very quickly. Yesterday in the mall I started to step in front of a mom with a stroller and I apologized. She looked surprised that I even cared! When I first started working my very PT retail job, I forced myself to stop apologizing for every little mistake I made. It was hard, but I did it. I guess that's the insecurity in me.
