Here's my 20 year old kitchen post facelift. I kept the counters and cabinets. And the fridge and circa 2000 Viking. And the floor. And the faucet. Just tweaked things and changed the cabinets and wall color and hardware.

Got a new single sink (had to drop in unfortunately) and got a new DW.

I'm curious also to see pix of windowed corners without sink. Some day I may do a proper remodel and could move things around. Though I can't imagine the sink NOT there in the corner....

By the way, you definitely want a cabinet between the sink and DW. Ask me how I know, LOL.

Pix are poor but we have a corner sink with windows. That was the layout in our old kitchen also. We liked it and so kept the sink there.

Ours barely fits in the space. The old sink was larger than it should be and the original contractor actually cut away some of the cabinet walls on each side to make room for it.

vwhippiechick- are you planning on a backsplash or just leaving it painted? I like it the way it is, but I have been wondering how a backsplash would look around those windows. Also, what size are those cabinets next to your sink?

don chuwish- what size is your corner sink cabinet?

Any other pictures out there?? How about a kitchen with those big corner windows but no sink there?? Anyone?

That's a mid demo shot. I bought the house partly because of that corner sink. Some romantic housewife gene popped up and thought "won't it be nice to wash dishes and look at that view!"

Mind you, she (the romantic housewife gene) and I, so rarely wash dishes that it was a goofy thought, but all of that light streaming into the kitchen, winter and summer, and the gorgeous view, just call to you to take a shot at dishwashing :oP

In the new kitchen the sink will be in the same location, but everything else changes. We've also inset it 3 inches on each side.

I can't imagine having lovely windows like that an not setting your sink there. With a view...why would you chose to look at a wall instead?

You don't really want to see a picture of my mom's circa 1970 kitchen, but we have corner windows and no sink. It's not a good look, and a HUGE waste of space, since the sink is just to the right of the corner w/ no wall cabinets (there are really only two in the whole kitchen). It is a "U" shaped kitchen and completely dysfunctional. I can't wait to remodel and put the sink in the corner!
