Hot Bath Tub Water Garden
Comments (30)I have finished major part of the project, still need to fix small things like paint work on the wooden boarder, arbor over waterfall, rails, aquatic plants and fish. here are some pics; Mia, thanks again for the pump and filters, it is working great, lift lot of water. Thank you all for all those tips to make it happen. Here is a link that might be useful: Hot Bath Tub Water Garden...See MoreDoes vanities next to corner tub get damaged from tub water?
Comments (14)We hired a GC to remodel our kitchen, powder, laundry and two baths. His workers do the plumbing, electrical, drywall and tile work, he doesn't sub it out, so that is a cost savings. We talked about the vanity this morning and he said the tile on the side would go on thinset, not the full-on thick mortar like the floor or the wall (it doesn't have to "float"). My problem is we were originally going to put the 4" backsplash where the vanity and tub meet but now might have to do a full tile piece due to the overall tile design. The granite countertop has been cut already, not installed though, and I'm not convinced the tile could fit in the lip between the granite and side of the vanity. Plus, different stone tile sizes have different thicknesses, I will have to make sure it fits underneath. You're right, there are a lot of little things to think of....See MoreTub Spout Diverter Does Not Drop
Comments (3)Hi, thanks for your response. I'm not exactly sure what you are recommending. When the diverter is in the up position, there is some seepage from the spout so I guess I'm ok there. I have waited several minutes and the spout pin never drops. Like I said, I hear a squealing type noise which eventually goes away but the pin never drops. On your second idea, please explain what you mean by loosening the spout. Do you mean loosening the Alen nut at the back of it? If i do that the spout will not be secure and start to to move a bit. Need a little more clarification of possible. Thanks....See MoreSome water runs from tub spout when using shower
Comments (2)As you've been told, with the pull-up diverter, you can expect some small amount of water to still come out of the tub spout. That is because the mating surfaces of the diverter valve are not always machined to be 100% water-tight, just sufficiently to provide enough resistance to water flow that the water will go up to the shower head. Some are more water-tight than others. You might want to look for a better one. The mechanism is all in the spout. A water-saving shower head may give enough back pressure so that more water may leak through the diverter than if you had a full flow shower head. The knob-type diverter valve will shut off the tub spout completely....See Morerandy427
