Enduring, really like your setup! My new (1983) house is sort of a contemporary-ish, transitional eclectic something or another. I found a great deal on Hansgrohe lever sink faucets and want something that will jive. There is a Hansgrohe model similar to your tub filler but with levers that I need to stare at some more. Boy IâÂÂm a dingbat; once I used your key words âÂÂTub Fillerâ I got all kinds of hits. Just a little flip of the wordage and Presto! The good news is there are a lot more choices out there than I thought (although not huge). The bad news is that I have never heard of most of the brands. For example: La Torre has some real nice looking stuff at a reasonable price. The few reviews were all good on the product itself but bad that it doesnâÂÂt come with some sort of rough-in valve thingy that is hard to find (I guess). Next, I came across this wall mount Baril from the fantasy collection that I really like. But who has heard of Baril? Not me! ItâÂÂs only $380 and must be too good to be true. However, here is the site and IâÂÂm almost convinced to give it a try. Now that I have the right search terms my problem is finding something nice that is not so traditional or overly modern. When I do find something I like it has a name I have never heard of or itâÂÂs something wack from China. We hired a GC to remodel our kitchen, powder, laundry and two baths. His workers do the plumbing, electrical, drywall and tile work, he doesn't sub it out, so that is a cost savings. We talked about the vanity this morning and he said the tile on the side would go on thinset, not the full-on thick mortar like the floor or the wall (it doesn't have to "float"). My problem is we were originally going to put the 4" backsplash where the vanity and tub meet but now might have to do a full tile piece due to the overall tile design. The granite countertop has been cut already, not installed though, and I'm not convinced the tile could fit in the lip between the granite and side of the vanity. Plus, different stone tile sizes have different thicknesses, I will have to make sure it fits underneath. You're right, there are a lot of little things to think of.

Not a silly question. When you have water forcefully hitting the inclined side of the tub high enough up, though most of it will splash downwards, some of it goes sideways, and some of it -- counterintuitively -- splashes back upwards from where it strikes the side and you can actually have a small puddle start to form on the floor in this area from water spray bouncing up and escaping this way. It the water doesn't hit the side of the tub, but only the bottom of the tub, it doesn't bounce high enough to do this.

I have attached some photos. It's not easy trying to locate a tub spout at this size. So I'm trying to get some suggestions on possible fixes/where to get long spouts. I know it looks a bit odd not tiled there, it is something that bothers me but we do not have enough tile to put in that area. We started off without a shower curtain and the water never hit that area. It did go all over the the area between the tub and shower and along the wall. So we are rocking a clear shower curtain to avoid hard water spots everywhere. The tub does not leak. We had a complete repipe down. The tub is solid concrete which is why they had to move the pipe to the wall and why we are missing tile from them confirming.
