Hmmm, well, toe cleavage doesn't bother me. In fact I do think it's kinda sexy.

I kinda like shoes that show the toes a little.. A few years ago my hubby mentioned that he thought they were a little sexy..

I hate feet. Everyone's feet. So toe cleavage is out! I hate my own feet in sandals and will only wear them around the house. My shoes all have closed toes of some kind. Pointy shoes are ok as long as the toes are hidden!

Funny enough, my daughter and I just had this discussion a couple of days ago - she thinks toe cleavage is disgusting, I think it's kinda sexy. She is the shoe fanatic in the house but said she wouldn't buy a pair if her toe cleavage showed.
Myself, I have mostly functional shoes, 1 pair of black pumps and 1 pair of cream ones - both show toe cleavage and I love the way they look on my feet.

I don't like the toe cleavage either, but I will wear a pointy toed boot now and then and my feet are way bigger than a 7. Maybe it is okay because the boots are narrow which makes my fat feet look skinny? So.. long skinny feet vs. long fat feet? Life's dilemmas. lol

Sorta reminds me of camel toe. Like the shoes are too small, just like the pants.

I like the pointy toes on certain people. When I wore my Renaissance Pointy Toes at the Faire I kept tripping.

I don't have an opinion on toe cleavage, I'm just in awe that they make shoes that are big enough in the front to cover YOUR toe cleavage, Flamy! LOLOL sorry, I had to go there.

You know I was just thinking the other day about how hard it is to find a pair of summer shoes(not tennis shoes)with closed toes. Everything that I have found are these ballerina slippers with absolutely no support(and I need support so somewhat elevated without feel like I am walking on heels..so not comfy)or the sandal wedges that either flop on your feet or your foot slips around in them.

I don't like toe cleavage either at least not on me! And absolutely hate hate hate the pointy shoes!! Elf feet!!! LOL!!

Unless a miracle happens, I guess it looks like another 'croc' summer!!

Thanks Flamingo, I needed a laugh this morning, and you've cracked me up! I don't like toe cleavage either, but I don't have to worry about that, as that is not a problem with my Reeboks lol.

I used to wear pointed-toe shoes all the time, and I've got the ingrown toenails to prove it. I don't like to wear sandals out of the house. Nearly every toe on my left foot has been broken, and that foot is a sight to behold. Yet for some reason, I always have my toenails painted. No one ever sees them. Except DH, about once a week. ;-)

I don't have that problem because my toes are quite short, but if My cleavage showed, I would not buy it.

I wear Birkenstocks just about year round, and all summer long without socks.

I don't own many shoes, a black pair for funerals, a red pair for fun, and a tan pair for other times. Besides that, I have hiking boots, cycling shoes and Nike's.

My toes get painted when I start wearing my birks without socks. :)

Now, other cleavage, I try to keep it contained. LOL

Whew--thought you were talking about the other kind--which I've NEVER had!!! :-( Had a problem figuring out toe cleavage. Am I right thinking you're talking about shoes cut low so some of your toe shows and not open-toed shoes? Either way, I hadn't really thought about it til now. I think I'd prefer it to shoes cut up high--I call those old lady shoes--yeh--like ME!

I've never owned a pair of shoes that showed toe cleavage and I'm sure there is a reason for that. I don't like them. :) I don't mind "upper" cleavage, if it's done tastefully. Mine are built so far apart, it would take a vice to draw them close enough together of a good crack. LOL

I don't like toe cleavage at all and I don't care for pointy toed shoes. I don't like shoes with a hole big enough for only the tip of the big toe to show because to me it seems to magnify the toe. If toes are going to show, then all of them need to show. I don't wear toe rings, but I like them. Since I'm no longer working away from home I can wear sandals more often. I may have to buy a toe ring.

I don't like butt cleavage either. I got an e-mail recently explaining why today's young people are called the Y generation. :)

I personally do not like and it won't wear shoes if they are cut too short in that area. I don't care about what OTHER people wear though LOL.

But then again, I have always believed a little cleavage never hurt if it gets you what you want. I wore low cut tops and short skirts to get new computers for the office. I guess if the guy had a toe fetish I might have worn different shoes and covered the rest up ;).

I have also been known to bake cookies, pies, and barbque chicken pieces for the same effect. I have no shame - bwa ha haaaaa!

I hate the pointy shoes and won't buy them. I also hate "toe clevage". I don't think I've worn shoes that show that. To me, it kinda looks like the shoe doesn't fit right like when the heel is hanging off the back.

I managed a shoe store for years and years and I have heard both sides of this debate many, many times. Some women absolutely refused to buy a shoe if it showed cleavage. I on the other hand don't mind it at all. I prefer a low cut shoe over one that is cut higher.
I also love pointy toes and high heels! I hate the shoes this year. Flat and round toes. Baby doll look and ballerina shoes. I don't find them flatering at all on a womens foot or leg.
Flamey I think you should have bought those red western shoes! They would have looked great on you!
My most comfortable shoe is an ankle height western boot with a pointed toe. Love em!

Mush, I also hate that babydoll look in shoes. I agree they are not flattering to the leg or foot and some of them do actually show toe cleavage.
Between not liking them or the pointy toe shoes you would think I'm just very picky about shoes. Actually before having 7 years of plantar fasciitus I was picky. Vanity gave away to comfort to relieve pain. Now I mostly wear New Balance tennis shoes, Birkenstock sandals and Crocs. Not exactly a fashion statement, is it? :)

Oh that cleavage!!! After I discovered what the real topic was I wondered when we'd hear from Ron.

I don't care for cleavage of any kind. It normally makes the shoe look too tight. Have you ever noticed when celebrities are all glammed up for awards shows and they are wearing those delicate strappy heels and their toes are sliding off the front of the shoe? - That's looks equally silly.

Talking about cleavage. I always wanted a cleavage of the other kind. Finally got one but I had to gain weight and get old to have it. Now it't wrinkled with brown sun spots. lol

Out of all the responses, I think about 5 of you don't mind, like or have husbands who like toe cleavage. So I find out finally that I am not alone in disliking it, yay! lol

I don't really care what other people wear, I'm only concerned about my shoes. Mush- those pointy red boot/clogs were too pricey for me, like $300, and like I said- they just looked freakishly long on my foot, even with the open back. How come they look cute on others but not on me? My friend Iku had just gotten a pair as a gift from her DH and they looked adorable on her. Of course, she's way tiny and wears probably a size 5.
