Let's talk about compost
Comments (150)i will if no one has before me :') well, tabor has put an add in the weekly wipe (that would be what we call the weekly little bitty store adds) for 2 female rabbits and a male rabbit. so he can mate them if he wants but mostly so i can have the manuer and they can have the "pets". now you tell me how smart of thinking that was?? LOL mom wants manuer so i'll tell her that to get her to say yes for the rabbits!!! LOL i can just see him thinking that in his head. BUT........what i don't see him thinking in his head is that those babies they make are nice food!! Hee Heee **big grinn** so how was your thanksgiving?? i hope well!! ours went great!! we brought home the turkey!! we are going to be having some turkey noodle soup, the noodles will be those ramean noodles the frozen kind, and that will be put over mashed potatoes!!! LOL YUMMY!!!! then mom let me bring home some of the ham they made,, can you guess what i'll be making with that?? yep!! ham and beans!! i think a pot of beans everyday for a while will be great, with corn bread and maybe some fried potatoe's. YUMMY!! or i'll leave the potatoe's for another night!! LOL but i really want to have beans for a while, we'll be going thru a really cold spell!! LOL i did notice that the stuff don't mix very well in the barrel, i'm thinking of a way to change that, don't exactly know just yet!! LOL i don't have the sodering iron or anything, YET!!! LOL **grinn** ~Medo...See MoreLet's review the Grammys, shall we?
Comments (30)I thought the whole show just rocked...I had the good sense to set the TIVO up Saturday night cause I was working Sunday...I got home right as Bruce Springsteen was singing and just listened and played on the puter while coming back down to earth...I'm so glad I tivo'd it cause I've watched it on and off tonight...Hubster doesn't watch shows like this but he enjoyed seeing the Beach Boys, Tony Bennett, and Glen Campbell perform...It was very tasteful as far as Whitney goes...I know it had to be really hard for Jennifer to sing that song...it sure made my eyes well up... I think Adele is the bomb...I've been humming her song all day...I hope she has a long and wonderful career! I loved the Target commercial that came on with the little girl on the bus singing her song and all the other kids joined in!...See MoreLet's talk napkins shall we?
Comments (15)Thank you...I knew I'd get some good ideas here. Cindyloo123-I agree. In the kitchens I admire you rarely see the everyday stuff. While I know in real life my home has to be functional I also want it to look nice and finding a solution for the napkins would help. Les917-I didn't even know that type of thing existed! Thank you for the idea. I'm intrigued by the idea of using cloth napkins like so many of you mentioned. The funny thing is I bought microfiber rags specifically for cleaning my counter top, and I use thin fabric burpcloths to clean up our two year old but it never occured to me to replace the paper napkins with cloth! I like this idea but with 3 young kids I'm not sure how it will work out with stains, and the impact on our already heavy laundry load. I like the idea of a hanging shelf like les917 suggested too but the kids do occasionally set the table and wouldn't be able to reach it. So, tonight I bought dark denim colored cloth napkins at Target and I'll see how we make out. I figured out tonight that a simple rearrange of my silverware drawer gave me enough space for the paper napkins if we go that route. Either way they're off my counter! Yay!...See MoreLet's talk hampers, shall we?
Comments (50)Well....let's see.I have a laundry basket under the counter in DS and DGD's bathroom, then there's the floor in front of the washer in the laundry room and the garden tub in my bathroom, which I have never used in the 9 years I have owned this house. The tub is for DH's and my laundry only and I do only our laundry. When there's enough for a load I do it so I only do a couple of loads every couple of days.DGD and DS do their own.My kids were all doing their own laundry by the time they were 12.I have several rubbermaid hampers but they seem to collect out of season stuff and even bags of dog food!LOL For some reason the dirty clothes never seemed to make it to the inside of the hamper. Ninos-One reason I started making my kids do their own laundry was because I couldn't get them to turn their socks (especially the boys) right side out! Told them if they couldn't turn their clothes right side out before putting them in the laundry room, they could start doing their own,and they did!LOL For some reason trying to turn stinky, stiff as a board socks right side out just doesn't set well with me!It was time they learned to do laundry anyway.LOL...See MoreJacquelyn
