wood counter w/ undermount sink?

I'm sure this has been covered but I searched and found very little. My perimeter counters will be granite, including area around main sink. But my island top will be mahogany with a prep sink. My GC wants to use a drop in for the prep sink because "there's no way to get a good seal with an undermount and you'll end up with problems." I certainly don't want problems, but I love the look of the undermount prep sinks in wood counters I see in magazines. Does anyone have experience with this issue (good or bad)? How about a pic of a drop in sink that will reassure me it can look nice? I was planning on stainless sinks. Thanks in advance - this forum is such a wealth of info!
