Although I'm on the KT the most these days, I do have other favorite GW forums that I visit regularly. And, once in a while I go looking for another because I'm looking for information on some subject or another. I thought it might be interesting to start a thread where we all list our favorite GW forums. Mine are:

MN Gardeners

Bird

I also visit (from time to time)

Northern Gardening

The one that got me started was......... Plumbing back in 2002 and I was looking for information on sweating a pipe.

That is true when you look at it from the first post and I was going to let it go with my first post until she came back with an attitude, blaming someone else for her actions and changing her story to a native story to get herself off the hook. That is when her dumbass honesty went right out the door. Then the others pile on. Glad C3D ended it with the truth about euthanasia. I'm with you Z-Chick on the instant brain death method. She really would have faired better if all that 'support' didn't show up to aggrevate the situation. Who am I to judge her - nobody. I've cleanly killed plenty of animals and that IS hypocritical from a death standpoint. I am sorry but I could not let it pass because she was killing a hapless creature and looking for congratulations. She faired FAR BETTER than the frog and we all know she will do the same thing again - she said so directly. She will control her pond against nature. Wait until the first snake shows up, or raccoon, or heron...... If anything - other posters will learn not to be such dumbasses but I don't believe it will stop them from posting to learn. This person was not posting to learn. I am done with it (I hope) unless another dumbass pops up (and then this dumbass will jump right back into the thick of it). Not much more I can say to the original OP however - as I shredded her actions to the maximum already (good, bad or ugly as it may have been). The 'plant boy bring it' was hysterical BTW. Good thing you said that because that post hit about 3 major nerves for me and I did hold back. Anyway - who wants to lay down money that thread is not done:-)

Cottage Garden and Perennials are my main forums. I usually check them a couple times a day if I have time. Seed Exchange has recently become another favorite spot of mine. Tomato forum That is about all. In winter, when there is nothing else to do, I will poke around the other forums and look at pictures posted months earlier. CMK

Actually, for several days, the search engine will time out, quickly! Today, more specifically, I can't open some of the threads! I'm having this on my laptop and our 'big one'! Yesterday, the problem was on any of the forums offered by GW! Haven't tried today anywhere but this one!! Is it just me?

Was going to ask if hot pepper growing enthusiasts include hot pepper culinary use enthusiasts.. but after much reflection, i think people crazy enough to grow multiple spicy peppers are the same ones willing to try to experiment with them in their food preparations.

I visit the KT daily, when at home. Often I also peek in to the Oklahoma Gardening forum, less often, the cooking and knitting forums.

Occasionally I look at trash to treasure, and some other forums as I have questions for them.

Quilting used to be tops on my list until they started a range war...Now, I mostly check on the Kitchen Table and garden.....

I only have 2 that I follow and post on.

KT - Will always be number 1 to me!

Quilting - I just started quilting and I LOVE the quilting forum. I'm glad that whatever happened was before I joined.

I occasionally look in on the Retirement forum, but it's so slow I get bored....

I jump around--CA gardening, books, vermicomposting, vegetable gardening, Hot Topics is good sometimes, and lot of others.

It's funny how I've focused on different forums as my life has changed: grieving when my mother died, weddings when my son got married, cooking when I get the urge, etc.

I've really enjoyed this thread, thanks for starting it!

I generally just check in here as I go to other forums only when I have a specific question.

I can't *imagine* for the life of me how a war could get started in a Quilters forum - the very idea is just incredible to me - but then I don't know what a "range" war is either, so maybe that explains it :)

I'm going to check out the Readers Paradise, that sounds like it would be interesting reading, and the Antiques forum also.

I've come to the conclusion that some folks will start a war over about anything.

I've seen (and enjoyed sometimes) ones at Plumbing, Lawn Care, Growing from Seed, just to name a few.

Next to KT, I probably check out Home Decorating, Texas Gardening, and Perennials the most. I also check out on a less frequent basis, Cleaning Tips, Organizing, Dessert Exchange, Beauty & Fashion, Cross Stitching, Knitting & Crocheting, and Pets. I hop into a couple of others on a very infrequent basis.
