Curious on what forums everyone frequents. I just posted a question on the Paint Forum and was surprised to see many names I knew over there. Of course I knew Faron would be there (and maybe that is why some of the gals were over there, too ;)

Anyhoo. Here are my top three:

1) Decorating

2) Kitchen (Not as much as I used to since the kitchen obsession is over.)

3) Trees (They are very nice over there and have been helpful over the last few years.)

Still mostly Kitchens, Bathrooms, Appliances, Home Dec, Pets, and occasionally Kitchen Table.

I visit Compost, Organic Gardening, Vegetables, Orchards, Lawnmowers, & Butterfly Gardens. I only participate in threads that interest me, which usually means that there is some twist, some clue or indication that this thread is about something new and/or challenging. For example, I recently posted to a thread on the Vegetables forum, about growing squash. We are growing butternut squash, successfully, without any damage from squash vine borers, which is a first for us. Previous attempts at growing other kinds of squash have had limited success, due to damage from SVB. So I have grown rather picky about what topics I will engage with.

That is true when you look at it from the first post and I was going to let it go with my first post until she came back with an attitude, blaming someone else for her actions and changing her story to a native story to get herself off the hook. That is when her dumbass honesty went right out the door. Then the others pile on. Glad C3D ended it with the truth about euthanasia. I'm with you Z-Chick on the instant brain death method. She really would have faired better if all that 'support' didn't show up to aggrevate the situation. Who am I to judge her - nobody. I've cleanly killed plenty of animals and that IS hypocritical from a death standpoint. I am sorry but I could not let it pass because she was killing a hapless creature and looking for congratulations. She faired FAR BETTER than the frog and we all know she will do the same thing again - she said so directly. She will control her pond against nature. Wait until the first snake shows up, or raccoon, or heron...... If anything - other posters will learn not to be such dumbasses but I don't believe it will stop them from posting to learn. This person was not posting to learn. I am done with it (I hope) unless another dumbass pops up (and then this dumbass will jump right back into the thick of it). Not much more I can say to the original OP however - as I shredded her actions to the maximum already (good, bad or ugly as it may have been). The 'plant boy bring it' was hysterical BTW. Good thing you said that because that post hit about 3 major nerves for me and I did hold back. Anyway - who wants to lay down money that thread is not done:-)

(Hi My name is Leslie, and I am addicted to composting.) Update... After all this time, I finally hit 130 degrees in the designated hot pile. This morning temp had dropped to 122, so I turned the pile... this afternoon temp is rising again steadily. Also 'innoculated' piles 2 & 3 today with the 'bug juice' recipe someone sent me on another post. (Would you believe, I'm up to 8 compost piles now... plus one empty bin for a load of aspen leaves I'm expecting today.) Also built a sifting table for sifting the fines out of ancient wood chips... plan on using that to sift compost also. Clearly, I'm really getting into this project... and grateful for this forum. I also have a Macbook Pro with Safari and this was not a pop up ad, it was a banner ad from the top that moved down to cover the links at the top and turned the entire page blue and would produce a new tab with a cookie ad in it, if you tried to navigate the page clicking on any part of the page to scroll or open a thread. I have not seen a problem today at all. I think there was something wrong with the ad itself. I already have my settings set for 'no pop up ads' which I don't have a problem with. And any 'moving' ads are usually 'disabled by disabling plug ins' in my browser preferences, but doing that didn't help in this case. I don't use Firefox. I can see stationary banner ads along the top and the right side of the screen, on GW but I ignore those.

Kitchens, bathrooms, old house and kitchen table. Don't know where the cooking forum is but this forum is my GW home. LOL!

Many garden forums, cooking, organizing, pets, marriage, reader's paradise and here, of course. Rarely post though.

I frequent the gardening forums as a lurker mostly. Lots of good info there. Occasionally I can help with an answer to someone's question. The money saving tips forum has some great info sometimes.

Cleaning forum, Organizing forum.
I go to the garden forums for research, don't follow any of them continuously. I love the Name That Plant forum. You post a photo of a plant and the regulars there will tell you what it is.

I rarely visit any of the other forums but this one. Occasionally I will surf through some of the gardening, and every now and then, building a home.

I like Home Dec, used to love Kitchens but since remodel has been done 4 years, I'm not as interested. Kitchen people are fairly obsessed with their projects and when you're done, you're done!

I also like to check in on the Buying and Selling Homes. Organizing forum is nice every now and then, but it makes me feel guilty for not being more organized, so I then leave!

I used to be a huge perennial, roses and container gardening follower, but have not been active in those forums for several years. My many gardens are full to the brim with plants, and I gave up on roses a few years ago.

I liked Hot Topics during the election, but haven't been over there too much since.

I spend most of my time here on HD but I do check out the Kitchen Table & Organization. Once in a blue moon I check out Holidays. I'm sure everyone over there could set a table with the Blue Moon theme. Or any theme!

I don't read the kitchen & bathroom forums any more, which first drew me into this Web, since my projects are finished.

Just yesterday I was looking at Cooking for the first time and it appears to be a place I could get hooked so I'll be adding that to my places of interest.

Kitchen Table - not only is it fun, but those people are so helpful and supportive.
Hot Topics - lurk more than post, but I'll post if I'm sure of my facts and have the time to debate.
Readers' Paradise - this is the forum that brought me to the GardenWeb.

Kitcen Table is my favorite. Also like Home Decorating, Kitcen Forum and Cooking. I mostly lurke.

Is there a particular subject you *wish* had a forum?

My favorite posts are ones that show how someone has completed a transformation or update on a small budget. Including a painting a room, refurbishing a piece of furniture, landscaping a corner of their yard or making a pillow for a bench. Not sure what I would call my ideal forum.
