Your kitchen looks very pretty but if you want handles that make more of a statement then I think it's a relatively inexpensive fix to give you the wow factor you want.

I think it looks beautiful! I don't think they look too small at all. The only place I can even see where you might be thinking that is on the tall pantry doors by the fridge. Good job-it looks great!

I had to go back and reread your original post - I thought you were complaining that they were too large! I think they look fine.

ok, thanks! I guess I'm just going through renovation withdrawls and looking for something that needs changing. (although I have plenty of renovation work that needs to be done to the rest of the house.) Heck I still have yet to pick out artwork for the walls!

I think what you're seeing in the pics, is the juxtaposition of the huge modern handles on your SS appliances next to the much smaller proportioned and more country style cabinet handles. Your cabinet handles go with your light fixtures and the country styling on your chairs, valances and BS trim.

Not sure how you pull those two opposing styles together. perhaps with some more modern/SS appliances and/or decorations on your counters?

If you went to larger SS pulls on your cabinets (how would you fill in holes?), it would tie in with your appliances, but then would look odd next to your other country decorating elements.

Perhaps try a SS utensils holder instead of the white crock? (I use a SS asparagus cooker to hold my utensils)

When you add new small appliances, look for SS, or SS with black, and I think that will help.

Are your pulls the standard 3" centers? I have cabinets very much like yours, and I have a mix of cup pulls, knobs and a few pulls that are larger than 3". I like the look, but then, I like the look of larger pulls/hardware. I think they make more of a statement. But it's really all personal preference.

I think yours look very nice -- but if you are looking for something bigger, I found a couple that might be either a bit thicker, or a bit longer than the ones you have that you might want to look at. The way your pulls are placed now, you don't have much room to go longer (because they are placed so close to the edge of the cab doors). It might be possible to fill the holes and move the pulls, but that could be kind of a pain.

What's nice about hardware, as another poster said, is it is really easy to change. Here are a couple styles you might like (again, just a starting point, and only if you are really unhappy with the ones you have). I tried to stay in the somewhat lower price range, and put in some simple and some fun styles, and I threw in a cup pull, too, just for giggles:

Well this pic was taken right after we finished and doesn't have all the countertop "stuff" on it like we have now. I have a nice new red toaster that helps. I am kind of stuck between 2 decorating styles though. Mostly because I choose usage over looks. The chairs were chosen because I have 2 little ones that sit in booster seats, so I needed a non-upholstered stool at a reasonable price ($50 a piece) and this is what I found. The valances were $10 a piece bargain and brought in my desire for red. I guess for now until my wallet magically grows, I'll be sticking with my own unique blend of style. :)
Plus the rest of the house needs so much work.....

The coloring, style, and layout of my kitchen is a lot like yours. I have SS pulls (about same size as yours)and often think I should have gotten black. My husband really wanted the SS ones. Even though mine match the appliance handles, I think your black ones look great.

I'm wondering if they look small to you because so many people are using extra large ones. They look perfectly fine to me and in keeping with the style of the kitchen.

I think your handles look great. Your kitchen is warm and inviting. I think because we made so many decisions about our kitchens we start to doubt everything we select. I had to laugh when I read your post, I was going to post a photo with almost the same question. But I think my cup pulls are to big. Relax it looks great.

I think they look fine. I would never have thought they looked too small or too large...they seem to fit your cabinets just right!

i like them..i prefer pulls to cup pulls or knobs. i think they look smaller than they might, because they are black. isn't black minimizing? in clothes anyway...

I think they are fine too. I find a lot of the oversized hardware very distracting. It just calls too much attention to itself.

I agree that the installed pulls go with the country look! Very nice! Larger Stainless steel look, pulls similar to your appliances would also go well IF you want a more modern look!

I think hardware is one place where you can add a little bling/accent. Someone once said they were like jewelry in the kitchen.

You are lucky that you have something in place that looks good. If I was you, I would keep looking at kitchen hardware on this site and magazines and if you find something that you really love, you can purchase them. No pressure or stress to get it done! You are lucky.
