How can I modify and still use my 36" pull out cabinet?

We got those free base cabinets (thank you SIL) but I don't want to give up having the butcher block cart slide under the counter. We need storage, but I think we need extra surface space even more!

There's a 36" cabinet with two pull out shelves that my mom is loving...but there's not room for it and the butcher block. So, can I make the 36" cabinet a free-standing unit? It would be good storage for extra pots and pans. We have space in the laundry/pantry (next room) but I would need to move it for access to electrical. Any chance this is a DIY project? :)

Before you ask...I don't want the butcher block in the laundry/pantry. It would end up as my husband's tool space. He can put them on the cabinet (LOL) but I need that butcher block for everyday use.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

36" cabinet is kind of like this....but white.

Butcherblock cart looks sort of like this...but with a drawer and pull out cutting board on the side. It's just a little lower than the counter height and should slide under no problem.
