Happy Easter!

We've had a few sunny days and things are really popping over at the greenhouse.

The calibrichoa or million bells are coming into bloom. I was playing with the macro setting on my camera to see what I could do.

This is a variety called Tequila sunrise.

This is Mango Eye.

Hot Pink.

Rose star.

Some Dahlias are blooming.

This is a double Impatiens; my Grandmas favorite flower. They always remind me of her.

A thunbergi blossom.

A blue Salvia.

And this is my oldest son rebuilding a bench.

The Greenhouse is a Cape Cod from BC Greenhouse 10X12 Which is really 10'8" x12'8". The ridge will be almost 14 feet from the ground (Twin wall Polycarb). Years ago I had a GH of similar design as the HFGH but much stronger with none of the issues reported on the HFGH. It's about 30 years old and still in use. The design makes them hard to heat because the rafters conduct heat directly to the outside air. Aluminum is a very good conductor and is used frequently in cookware. BC makes a very tight very strong unit without the direct rafter exposure and BC is wonderful to work with ! Yes, not cheap but I'm helping the economy and you get everything you need righ down to the caulking sealant to go under the bottom frame. Roof vents come with openers etc etc etc

Turns out I did get the photos. They're nice and large and a big help. I'm currently working on my own greenhouse. I'm still in the framing stage. I've got more time in the bayous than others do just a hundred miles north of here. I'm including a link to the forum where I'm documenting the process. I'm blundering through the process. It looks like I haven't made any critical mistakes yet. I've got the unit framed, and I've only just learned how to put on the Suntuf panels. I thought I was supposed to just screw them on with insulated screws. NOPE! Good thing I learned about horizontal and vertical closure strips and purlins spaced 24" appart! When I'm done with the greenhouse, I'll post a gallery of photos here. However, the most detailed account of the unit will be at our bonsai discussion forum. jay- that was just a guestimate- lets see- i believe i pay about 22c per kwh. does that mean that it costs me 22c an hour to run a 1000 watt light? if it does, than I guess, running it six hours a day, for 30 days would also only run me about 180 x.22 or about $38 a month-i have never really kept track of my bills- i just seemed to remember my bill went up a ton when i used the light but maybe im wrong

I love Lucy!!! My favorite of the flowers is the osteospernum. I hope it can be purchased here, or did you create it? It's absolutely gorgeous and they are a favorite of mine. Summer isn't complete without them! Dee in Michigan

I can hardly wait until the garden centres around here look like that. We can't plant annuals here until after June 15th because of the risk of frost. I love the Mango Eye Million Bells. I'd put that and the Tequila Sunrise together in a hanging basket.

Great pictures Ron. I love the Million Bells. They are so hardy, and I find they really take the heat, and don't croak as easy as some other plants I've had on my deck.
