You and Lee are continually in my thoughts and prayers. Here's wishing for the recovery you both need.

Sorry I got here late - but it's nice to see Lee posting again, although sadly under a tragic circumstance. Your parents should not be out any money because of this accident - there is clearly someone else at fault, and the attorney should be able to take care of that for you. Your father is lucky that the driver was caught - so many times these accidents are hit and run with no witnesses, and that would have been even more tragic. I think you are good at keeping a positive attitude, as are your parents, and that is always a help. My thoughts remain with your family for a speedy recovery. Lars

Hi peeps! i am back from an east coast trip, one of several we will be making in the next few months. Niece is doing okay, has not yet been on her feet - the pelvis injury was severe, so that alone could take many more months. She is unhappy being in the hospital but there she must stay until she can at least walk again. We bought her a Nintendo game - it is hard to get stimulation 24 hrs a day in the hospital. Her memory capability is improving little by little. Her parents do 2 visits each every day. That's their new life. Also visited my FIL in FL for a few days. His memory is shot too. Niece is getting better and he is getting worse. He will ask the same questions over and over in the same conversation. Long term memory seems intact and he does recognize everyone, thanks for small things. His wife takes very good care of him and he gets a lot of stimulation. They travel constantly, and that keeps him happy and occupied. My brother has aranged an appointment with the best doc for his condition, at Johns Hopkins. So he is feeling better about things now that he will be in good hands. Finally, Virgin America is my new fave airline. I wish they had more flights.

Oh my goodness, I forgot to talk about the wonderful drink! (Lutz Lightening) The fresh orange juice was just incredible. I want a "do over" too! Next time in Michigan. I told Steve, we have a lot to get done when we get home so I can have a CFer party at our house. Cathy please, Peppi, Sherry, Annie from the mid-west, and anyone else who would care to make the trip. Jim, Lou????? It will be a beach party at the lake. You will all have to bring sleeping bags because we have a really small house. Ha! But, we can make it work.
