Cat suddenly not using litter box

Hi. We have a five year old Manx named Micah who has started pooping and peeing in the office. We switched both the cats from iams to a higher quality food a little more than a month ago. I made the mistake of not switching them slow enough and both cats had a little stomach upset. When Micah pooped the in the office the first time a few days ago we thought maybe he was constipated and made a mistake. He did it the next day too and this morning I found him peeing in the same spot.

This is not like him at all. The litter box is clean and the other cat leaves him alone when he uses it. There were no changes in the house other than the change in food over a month ago. Could it be the food switch that upset him? I am at a loss as to what to do. Any advice is appreciated.
