Any Plans for Today?

I have no real plans, just put things away from Easter's meal, eat some leftovers, maybe a daughter or two will join me, and rest up. The next holiday we plan to get together is Mother's Day. Youngest daughter is hoping to be able to have that. No matter where it will be, I plan on doing most of the food as I love to.

What are your plans for today, I know a lot of you have to go off to work?

Have to meet my sister at the body shop in about an hour. She has to take her car in for an estimate of the damage that was done in the accident Sat. Then I'll probably head over to the nursing home to see my aunt. After that? Will get back to work on getting this house fixed up to sell.

I'll go to Lowes and see about spending the rest of my GREAT gift card. :)

Other than that... vacuum, and might start putting stuff in the suit case, for when I head to ABQ.

Earlier I was clinking with a margarita. We are in Oklahoma City and had dinner at a mexican restaurant. We have an early flight tomorro morning to Orlando and then on to Cape Canaveral and leave on a cruise Sunday. I just hope the weather isn't too bad while we are gone. There is supposed to be rain, freezing rain and snow this weekend and next week also. It is just hard and a full time job to keep the livestock fed, ice broke in water tanks and ice off the electric fences. But our son will take care of it and we have good employees. Annie, I hope Ashley does well. My son had all four wisdom teeth out during his second or third year of college. I remember him being embarrassed that I was taking him and told me when we were walking out of the Dr. office that he could drive home. He was asleep before we were out of the parking lot and slept the entire two hour ride home, the meds definately took over. He didn't have any problems and hopefully she won't either. Wishing all a good weekend. Enjoy the game, the commercials or both. .

Denny called some friends of our from church. Charlie is a lot younger than Denny and can get things done easier. He and his wife came over, the guys took the wheel off put it in our car. Took it to the shop. We took them out to eat at Hu Hot. When we finished eating the guys went to get the tire and put it on. Tammie and I went to the thrift store and had some fun. The tire had to be replaced, it had a big cut in it where I ran over it when it came off the rim. All in all it turned out to be a good day. Tammy and Charlie had never gone to Hu Hut before. They really liked it. Probably didn't cost us as much that way as it would have had we called someone to come out and get the rim to put the new tire on and put it back on. patti

Enjoyed a fine visit with niece and husband, plus two teen "children" - who've developed a great deal since my visit three years ago. Oldest son away to univ., so didn't see him. Had another visit to Stone Moountain ... and to a gold mine (state heritage site). A bit concerned aout a certain aspect of southern stories ...see another thread. Computer *extremely* slow, shut it down and now it's more normal. Getting ready to travel back to Ontario. No potential meetings en route home, it appears.Should take a little over a day on the road. I'm feeling a bit conscience (not "stricken" or "smitten" ... just "touched", I guess,) over using all of that precious petroleum ... and adding some more to the warming and pollution of our environment. I'm not anticipating any trouble with the vehicle - the driver may be the weakest link ... and, as you know, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Have done most of it by now. Slept in this morning until 9, very late for me. Just haven't felt good the past two days, have a slight lingering headache and just feel all round 'duncy' as my late MIL would say. Went in to our little town to go to the bank and deposit money from my shop, and put some back in savings. Then forgot to pick up my bank statements. Stopped by our little library, they always have a rack out front of books they are selling to clear out for more room. Bought biograpy of Dean Martin and a candy cookbook, $2 for both. Visited with librarian awhile and headed home. Passed the gas station and realized I forgot to bring in GS's gas can to refill for his dirt bike. DH had 'borrowed' his gas for the lawnmower the other day as all ours were empty. Getting pretty bad when you have to search and hunt for a dab of gas for the lawnmowers. Came home and hung out a load of laundry after bringing a load in. Have another load running, DH's work clothes. Now, it's just doing very little, too hot and humid to do much and we don't have A/C anymore, unit went kaput last year and DH's arthritis doesn't like it. So, just depend on some fans and when it's really hot and humid this old woman does very little.

I am waiting for a couple of new garage doors to be delivered from Lowes--we have the old heavy wooden ones but they are developing holes in them. I will then go to Wally World to get my mom a phone card and a few things for a goody box that I will send this week--she lost her job so I am trying to cheer her up. Oh yeah, UPS is coming to pick up a package too. Sheila

I have an ortho Dr. appt at 10:15. I have a severe case of Mortons Neuroma in my feet. I am going to get the injections done on my left foot so I can walk again. This flare up started the end of February, so I am so excited to get to my appointment. I had my right foot done in September, and have been pain free since then in that foot. I can't ever remember being so excited to go see a doctor. lol

I'm going on the treadmill, doing laundry, and I'm going to write a letter to my SIL who lives in Japan, because I can't find her email address. Other than that, I will just play in the greenhouse and hang around the house.

Monday's are my day off, and I'm planning to work in the home office clearing up the aftermath of preparing for tax time. Yuck! Hopefully, I'll get a couple of loads of laundry done and I've already had a nice long walk with the pups so it's not all bad!

I'm heading to Burlington to do my Mom's laundry and errands. Then I'm going to sneak to a hairdresser's to fix my hair. DH tried to help yesterday and trim it for me. How hard could it be? My hair is long and straight..........and while it was wet, it didn't look too bad. But no, I need to get it fixed, big time! LOL!

Therapy as usual. The cleaner is coming this afternoon to do the floors. I always pick up the things sitting on the floor to help him out. He does a good job, carries a vacuum on his back to do close to the base boards, then he uses a reg vac and mops my hard floors.

I've got to make a trip to the credit union. My daughters company spent the week end (yes, Easter Sunday too) remodeling and repainting. I think they were going to be mostly finished by today, so I'll see! I woke up thinking I've got the Texas Tour girls here Thurs. and I should clean and clean and clean, but hey!! this is the way we live!! I can't wait to see them all--I've met Eva and Kathytx, so I have 5 new gals to meet. The sun's out and it's going to be a beautiful day. I may get a flat of impatiens. We've lost 5 trees since Ike, so I don't have the totally shady yard I used to!! Y'all have a good day.

I need to get some laundry done. Just finished with the kitchen. My son rented Twilight for me, so I am going to pop that in and stitch on a charity piece that is way overdue- Oh, and watch the rain that is coming in.

Since yesterday was the last holiday dinner before the kitchen gets some work done....today is the first day of finding places to put kitchen furniture, contents of cabinets, etc.

Going to workout, clean the house, do laundry, make some important phone calls. Lauren's birthday party is this Saturday so I only have 3 days to clean up.
