Thanks again for all of the help. We worked on two projects at once.

I am glad to finally have finished the drapes and the roman shades.

I still need to steam and "train" the drapery panels. I have not yet taken the mirrors off the dresser or found a new TV stand - next project - but just moving the chair per Les's suggestion a while back made a difference.

I also want to get a bench for the foot of the bed or cover the top of the cedar chest.

I can also use my former bedding with these colors and they are perfect.

I need to get insides so I can use the Euro-Shams with this set.

?????? --- I hung the drapes halfway between the window and the ceiling. I keep thinking they are too high. Any comments? But, I do think they have diminished the all-wood look of the room.

I am sure I can get my husband to move the rods one time, but that would be it. Maybe I just need to get used to them.

Of course, any and all suggestions would be welcomed.

I think the height of the rods is fine. I do like the wider width of the drapery behind the headboard, don't you? One thing you need to do is take the last ring on the outside of each drapery panel and hang it to the other side of the support bracket on the ends. The drapery will hang better and will also hide and bridge the brackets on the ends, rather than draw attention to the supports by stopping inside of them.

Things are really shaping up nicely. I am not sure that you need the euroshams on the bed - I think the contrast of the headboard against the light drapery is nice, and will perhaps be lost once the euroshams are there. I would also look for a warmer color lampshade for the bedside lamp, perhaps with some trim that you add to pull the red and gold onto the shade.

Since you can sew, I would think about slipcovering the cedar chest with a pretty upholstery fabric that contains the colors of both sets of bedding, and goes to the floor. If you add padding on top under the slipcover, it will look like a great bench and also eliminate a bit of the wood in the room.

Looks very beautiful! Since you asked about them: I know it's popular now to hang the drapes way above the window, but like you I prefer a lower position, either in line with the top trim or just above it. The gap between the top of the window and the rod bothers me, especially when the drapes are open and you can see the shades. I have similar rods here, but they're a bit smaller in scale. I like the drapes you have with that type of rod. And the bedding is lovely!

If the oak trim stays, the green on the wall will make the oak look even redder. Here is the quiet moments. Maybe install drawers under the window and eliminate the dresser. What is the purpose of the soffit. If it's not hiding something, maybe consider not building it. Consider refinishing the bedroom set. You'll never get to your inspiration picture with all that pine.

No I don't but some of their pieces are made in very small numbers. So if they don't have it now, they may later. If you live near Living Spaces, show them my picture. They also have a lot of one-of-a-kind pieces. They are fairy priced. This piece was from their dining room sideboard collection. They are always adding new pieces. I bought my TV lift from Touchstone Products. It's so quiet and quite a conversation piece.

@chispa mattress is 9in. box spring 9in. and the night stands are 28 in. the total bed now is 31" high. the height from the slats to flush with the frame is a little less than 4in. and the frame is 16 and 1/2in. from the ground to the top of the base and the headboard starts at 24 and 1/2" from the ground.

Out of all of them, I like the 1st or 3rd that I posted. IMO, a fully upholstered bed looks more finished than just a headboard. I think the 1st nicely mimics the curves in the nightstands and dresser and feels a bit more traditional, as does the furniture. Do you know how tall the nightstands are? They should come within an inch or two of the height of the mattress.

I love windows, the height and how you made them wider, looks great. I also agee with changing the look of the cedar chest to match the rest of the wood. Really nice job.

Les, you were such an inspiration. I am STILL having a hard time with the height of the rods. I have never had any that high before. But I am going to leave them. I absolutely love the white shade on the bedside table. It is a beautiful silk, but I know it is too white for the room. I am going to work on the cedar chest as well, but at least I have a great start. The width of the drapes behind the bed made a big, big difference.

Can't comment on the rods/drapery because I come here to this forum to learn about that stuff myself -- no Deco DNA in me, at all.

What I DO see is a wonderful, relaxing, calm room with lovely coordinating things (things I'd love to have myself!) like the round iron piece and coordinating rods.

Thanks, Amity. The rods were a complete accident. I had the ironwork already. I bought the rods and originally had planned to use the finials that I already had, until I looked at them and saw that they had the same exact scroll as the ironwork. Quite the fluke!!
I know what you mean about no Deco DNA. I have none and sometimes feel very guilty because I ask a lot more questions than I give answers.
But I am learning. One of the main things that has helped "beautify" my home is paint. I have stained woodwork and love it. But, I had a few rooms where the paint I had was fighting the woodwork. I repainted my kitchen last summer. What a difference from the terracotta to the sagey green.
The people here are so wonderful. I do not even know how I found this forum, but I try to read it every day and every day I learn something!
