They can be stored at room temp. The filling flavors are: lemon, orange, raspberry, maple walnut, chocolate covered cherries, chocolate cream, mocha, coconut, peanut butter cups, butter cream, peppermint, candy cane, caramels, amaretto and then there's the hand painted ones that are pure chocolate. I use Wilton wafers for my chocolate.

How many loaves of bread and pans of cinnamon rolls do I have to trade for a tin of those candies???

Wow. That's quite a spread of candies and all so beautiful to boot! I'm sure it would take me a lot longer than a couple weeks to get everything done. Wonderful job!

Those are just gorgeous. What's almost as impressive as the art of it is the level of organization. My house would look like the Hershey's factory had exploded inside it if I tried that!

Do you paint the colors on after the candies leave the molds, or do you paint the molds before the regular chocolate goes in? I'm amazed by the detail work that goes into this. Really beautiful.

That's five times as much as I ever make, and I don't have that many molds! I'm making some more today and have to get started soon. I really should get some more molds as well - your pictures are very inspiring. Where do you get your molds? Mine were all gifts!!

As for molds, I use mainly silicone, but if I use metal or plastic, I do use a bit of oil or butter to make sure they come out easily.

I get my candy melts from Michael's craft store. I melt the chocolate in a glass measuring cup, sitting in water in a electric skillet to keep warm. I use baby food jars for the colored candy melts. I probably have over 20 molds. I've had some of my molds for over 20 years and they are showing their wear. There is a web site called Candyland Crafts that has a really good mold selection. The molds are plastic and to clean them you just run them under hot water. Never use soap. It's suppose to take away the shine. I paint the molds with colored candy melts first, then pour in the chocolate.

Recipes, please??? For the a few of the fillings? Like mocha, maple, flavors that are hard to find in purchased chocolates? I had a great coconut cream recipe once but can't find anything comparable now.
