It is only 2am here in Arizona. I am going to a luncheon with a bunch of ladies. My DH is taking a friend who is in the beginning of Dementia out to lunch. Other than that we have no plans.

I will be babysitting the granddog for the day and preparing dinner for her parents (my daughter and a friend) this evening. Beef stew, cole slaw and blueberry cobbler is on the menu. It is to be a lovely spring day, so me and the granddog will do some yard work between other light chores and naps. The granddog loves a lap to nap on, and I will oblige her.

Its' supposed to be a really warm one here today,now @6:45 a.m. EST,so,its' off for a mini road trip and grocery shop.
Staying awake is the issue this week..as long as I get a little done today,I'll be happy*S*S*

It's 42 here right now, but I think it's going to be a nice day. I'm off to work this morning. I'm going into the high schools with the Youth Worker to learn more about her job. I've been looking forward to it for a long time, but today it conflicts with something else, so that's a pain.

Tonight I'm going to a basketball game with a friend, so maybe I'll get off early to spend quality time with the doggies.

I have a school reunion committee meeting and then I am serving lunch to the committee members. The items for the church sale have to be brought down to the hall. And then I may go to Tabi and have a look at their new spring/summer clothes.

As it's Thursday, I'm wearing red. I'll go to my Thurs. knitting group. Pack for the trip to Wash. D.C./VA for tomorrow, maybe a load of laundry. It's about 42° here at 8:15 EDT. Supposed to go to about 67°. The sun is shining nicely. For tomorrow's trip it's supposed to be rain and wind. That won't be fun, but at least for Sat.'s wedding, it's supposed to be nice!

Nita, sounds like you will be napping if you are up and here at 2 am!

Heading to Burlington to do my Mom's laundry, change the sheets, and run her errands. May also stop in to see my DB while I'm there.

I need to get over to my Mom's but OMG...there is severe storm warnings, tornado warnings...its black as night outside. I live perhaps 20 minutes from her and she is totally home bound. I'm the only one that drives since my sister can't drive.
I am worried to pieces about how I'm going to drive there. I know deep down I should just sit it out and NOT be on the roads! I'll call in a minute or so and let her know I might not get over today.

I haven't checked the temp here..but it's cool and rainy! Friend and I are going to the Thrift Store...so that'll take care of most of my day. The rest of the day will probably be spent washing and drying whatever I find at the Thrift Store! lol

I am heading to the barn to set up an obstacle course for training my colt. Should be a fun day for me, but I am not sure he will like it.

Oh Kathy, to be young and doing what you are going to do today!!!!!

It's raining here, so if I go anywhere it will be to the mall so I can stay dry. I would like something different for lunch. I think I will fix breakfast instead. Have a nice day all.

I had breakfast with my friend, Dorothy, this morning. We sat there drinking coffee for 2 hours and had 4 different people sit with us at different times to eat their breakfast. That's the fun of living in a small town. :o) We had a great time visiting with everyone!

I'm meeting another friend for lunch. She worked at the shelter when I was there and I haven't been around her since, so it will be fun seeing her again.

Jammer will be coming home tomorrow after 3 weeks of being on the road. I need to get rid of a few piles of paperwork on my dining table before he gets here, and do another load of laundry. Oh yes!!! My new laptop is to be delivered today and I am so excited!!! I can't wait to start personalizing it. I'm just hoping my old laptop will stay on long enough for me to save My Document folder to a zip drive.

The weather here is beautiful and sunny, but we are having some winds. I can put up with them as long as it's warm.

I am doing some household chores then meeting a fellow KTer, mtnwomanbc, in Santa Cruz for lunch. Afterwards run some errands downtown and come home and try to get a few things done outside before dinner.

Was up early and got the bathroom about half wall-papered. Time for a break, though--I can't do that too long before I start making mistakes. Thought I'd be done by now, but this one has a very tricky repeat, so it's taking a lot of time and thought

Once I'm done lunch, I'll get changed, and head over to see my aunt at the assisted living facility. Haven't been out the door yet, but it looks nice out--maybe I can take her for a walk on the grounds. Might do some shopping on the way home. I need batting for a quilt I want to start getting together this weekend.

Later will be making creamed dried beef for dinner. and maybe will get back to finishing the wallpaper.

I've been on the phone w/ Kathytx, so I've laughed a lot. Us Texas girls are so cool. (LOL) I'm taking my friend to lunch whose DH has Alzheimer's. We're meeting another friend. The sun is out and it's a gorgeous day, so we may drive down to a little town close by that has a good antiques store. I need a hair cut and need to work in the yard later. I won't be bored!!

Sue, yes, he a truck driver. He did work out of San Antonio and did local runs so that he was home each night. They had a big layoff because of the economy and he knew he would probably be one of the ones let go, so he went back to work for the company he used to work for out of Illinois. He used to be gone for long periods of time, so we are used to it.

I'm setting up a CureSearch/MileStones Walk sponsorship page for my grandson Nate. His team name is Elimi Nate Cancer. The walk will be June 6th. It is to increase awareness of childhood cancer and the critical need for research and raise the revenue needed to support the Childrens Oncology Group.

I'm on my way to the shelter to get a baby possum and a cat that they were going to put down because no one wanted him, and he is an outside cat. Later, I hope to get chores done early so I can do laundry. My husband will be home tomorrow.

I am not young! I am 55 and was blessed with a suprise foal 5 weeks before my first "big" horse since my 20's died. I knew she was probably bred but she did not look pg until she was ready to have him.
I wish I had this horse when I was in my 20's - he is easy going. Hope to be driving him soon.

Oh, Kathy, how great! I had my first pony for 30 years and we got her when she was a yearling. We didn't know she was going to foal until the week of, what a great surprise! She was getting up there in years when she had the first one. After that she had several foals. What will you be hitching him to?

Clare (aptosca) and I had a yummy greek lunch in Santa Cruz today, after which we did a bit of thrift store shopping. We had a great time!

Then, I went to the courthouse to go over my divorce petition with the family law advisor. Fun!
