I haven't seen a photo of your bathroom, but I don't really care for greens in the bath. And since green is my favorite--Plus--much of my home is painted sage or muted brown/green, it's a miracle I've never considered it for a bath. Your valance is extremely pretty. I agree that the deep burgundy will just be too much in there. Unless you need some more abundant color, why not try this.......Paint the bath a shade of deep cream or soft oatmeal, just a shade or two lighter than the wheat in the ground of your valance. Buy a nice shower curtain, (I love the terry or picque or heavy cotton linen looks I've seen at HomeGoods) in a solid or textural fabric. Now, buy your towels in the accent colors of the valance.......the sage, the rose, maybe a deep wheat. Use the valance florals for accent and keep your background linen-like. Hi, artlover! I love texture, and have beadboard and trim above in both my bathrooms. I have shutters in one below the valance, as they were here when I bought the house. They were pine and I painted them the off white of the trim. In the half bath, I have a bamboo roman-type shade/blind. I love it, but if you really need privacy, know that you can see right through the bamboo at night when lights are on. You really can't see into my baths, so it doesn't matter to me, but depending on what is on the other side of that window, if you go with bamboo, you may want to get a lined one.

I'm selling the house next year due to retirement and I thought buyers want to see neutrals. I don't know if this green will appease those coming through to look at the house. My living room is dark also in BM Baked Cumin and will also be lightened up. Are these valances too much for one window and a deck door with a stationary door next to it. After living with the Olive Branch for two years, its seems dull to me now. I think my problem is when I get stressed, I paint, and paint, and paint, now I've lost square footage to the many layers of paint! Karen

I agree with all the comments, which will improve your already nice room. Rearranging and editing the items in your bookcase would be an added suggestion. I love how you've arranged your plants, and the way they all seem to be peeking out into the garden.
