New Feb. Things I love garden Decorating sign up
Comments (133)I have received mine. I actually got it about a week ago. We have really been getting hit with flooding this week after those 8 foot banks of snow melted back the day we actually got a 60 degree day. I haven't gotten around to posting that I received it. Our basement flooded and we are having septic problems from the water tables being so high. I did let Tina know by email as soon as I got it to thank her. It is now cold again so things are back to normal for us. Tina sent a fabulous box and was very thoughtful about everything she sent. She actually baked me cookies-which were very good!!! I think they lasted maybe the day in this house. they were chocolate chip! I loved this because I never get to bake anymore now that we are starting a major kitchen redo. Tina also sent my kids hot cocoa. Came in handy big time as I kept getting scolded by my 7 year old that there wasn't anymore and I kept forgetting ot run out to get some. It is now snowing again and half the box is already gone from playing outside. Can't play outside without coming in to hot cocoa! She sent me flavored coffee! I just love my cup of joe. Yes I am a coffee junkie. I have already sampled that as you could imagine. The last of the treats was a box of those yummy new hershey dark chocolates with the blueberries and other fruits. Very yummy! These I kept out for myself. Now for the other goodies...tina sent not one but two toad houses! My daughter snagged one right away for her zoo garden. She let me keep the one with the snail on it cause she knows I like snails. She also sent very nice bath stuff with a handmade washcloth-that has already been used as well,a yummy smelling cinnabun candle, and a very nice card. Thank you again Tina for a wonderful box. I think I am going down to make some more of that coffee. Snowing again today with 6 inches and more. Well we had spring for a day at least. Maybe I will wintersow some things today.~Heather...See Moreblack & white french paris bathroom theme - help with decor pleas
Comments (9)I second Hobby Lobby. You might also try TJ Maxx or Marshall's, but Hobby Lobby has an extensive "themed" inventory. Their prices are reasonable, the selection is very good and the quality is decent. They usually run 40-50% off sales so you can usually find what you like without having to pay full price. I purchased a small teapot shaped wooden sign with a silver spoon bent into the shape of a hook that has French inspired writing on it. It has a cream background with black lettering and definitely has a French oo-la-la feel to it. You can also use a black and white/cream toile fabric for window treatments and line a wastebasket with the same fabric. Carry the colrs throughout the room by sewing (or using fabric glue) to trim white or cream hand towels with black rick-rack. Our guest bath is done in similar colors but I'm not home to post photos...will try and do that tonight. Our wall color is Beeswax by Behr and our accent colors are black, cream and white. I love the combination. I didn't intend our guest bath to be French inspired, per se, but it definitely leans towards that direction....See MoreNeed help choosing a bathroom paint color
Comments (7)Well, I think you need this rug I spotted on Amazon to go by the tub... Something like this (or paint them yourself) to go on the wall OR THIS When you look at those you will see links to beach signs, flip flop light string, outlet and switch plate covers, vinyl surfboard wall art and more. I'd pick a few of those, get bright beach color towels and accessories. Bathrooms are fun because it doesn't take too much to create a theme, but you can also go all out. I also like the idea of using a matching blue paint around the vanity area, keeping the tub area white ad accessorizing with the blue and then using blue and white towels or other brights. I like crisp blue and white, but not everyone does, and with a boy and a girl, I think they'd most likely like a lot of colors to make it fun and not too feminine or masculine....See Morebathroom decor help!
Comments (17)Before changing out painting, flooring, tile, etc. I think the easier fix is to find a nice fabric shower curtain to tie the warm browns and cool greys together, then add some complementary artwork and towels and it will look great! I think because you also have the brown in the floating shelves, it works, it just needs an anchor to tie it together. I have the same vanity, BTW, and really love it - it's a huge space saver but still has some good storage. If yours is the same as mine, it's also a dark chocolate brown stain, correct? I'd also suggest a wire basket to hold your hand towels on your shelf, and some greenery or a fake flower. Here is a cute bathroom vignette on shelving similar to (but deeper) than yours. Something like this shower curtain has both beige-browns and grey/taupe in it: For art, you might consider a mini gallery of vintage black and white prints framed in brown rustic wood, like the first image below, or just a wood sign to have another brown/wood accent in the space....See Morejterrilynn
