Rerouting baseboard heating

DH and I plan to begin a DIY renovation of our kitchen this summer. We will be removing a non-load bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room. The wall currently has baseboard heating so we will need a plumber to come in and get into the crawl space under the house and either cap off or reroute the pipes so we can demo the area.

Is this a difficult and/or expensive thing to do? We definitely don't plan on doing it ourselves, but I'd like to have an idea of what is involved (like draining the whole system?) and how much work would be required so that I can effectively evaluate the bids.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
