Need room flow advice (paint)

I need help deciding how to make the main rooms of my house flow together better. The original owners used some pretty bold colors and I'm not sure which ones to use. I want to keep the burgundy in the dining room and den, but want to change out the mustard color in the den and possibly kitchen. My den, kitchen, and living room open up to each other; the dining room is open to the kitchen, living room, and foyer.

foyer - SW Macadamia

dining room - burgundy & SW Macadamia

kitchen - Eddie Bauer Slice

den (fireplace) - Eddie Bauer slice & burgundy

living room - Laura Ashley Gold 4

My husband does NOT want me to get rid of the Slice in the den and kitchen, but how do I make that work with the other rooms? It is such a bold color and these rooms don't get a ton of natural light. I was thinking of maybe painting the den and dining room (above chair rail) the same color as the living room (LAG4)? What do you think? I need some serious advice!
