Is there a rule of thumb for mirror size?

Not long ago I posted a picture of a new TV armoire and asked about placing a mirror over it. I'm happy to say the armoire will have a new home next month, leaving me with 70" of wall space. I had planned to leave it as is for a while after the armoire goes, but today I stopped in at my favorite bargain haunt (Green Demolitions) and bought a mirror for $45.

The mirror is good looking, and heavy. The glass is 28x30", with a 2.5" cherry frame. The frame will probably blend in with the wall color. I don't know if that's a no-no or not; right now I'm mainly concerned with the size. Does it sound like an okay size for a not-terribly-big space? I'll post the picture of the wall (envision it without the armoire, please) and the windows that are opposite it.

Thanks!

PS: The mirror has molding at the top. I don't know what it's called, but it's somewhat flatter than what I know as crown molding. This doesn't necessarily identify it as a bedroom mirror, does it?
