Comments (31)Katie - That could be a real possibility too. Looks like the height would work too. Thanks for the link and website. Redroze - I saw the two you posted on TOCL website today and really like both. I am planning on contacting them tomorrow. Here is my question, do you think this light from Rejuvenation is close enough to the top picture in your last post? The one from Rejuvenation is a little cheaper and I've seen it in person in satin nickel, but I'm not as crazy about the extra "balls" and "bulbs" on the rods. The one from TOCL seems simpler to me and might be worth the extra couple of hundred of dollars. Or would no one notice the difference? I swear I'm not normally this picky and usually can find lots of things I like, but for some reason now I feel like this stupid light has to be just perfect since I've already returned one. I should just had my electrician do two electrical boxes, but now the one is centered in the ceiling and he would have to cut two new holes and patch the old one. I'm not sure I want to go down that road. Here is a link that might be useful: Rejuvenation Light...See MorePendant light size 'rules' in relation to island.
Comments (11)We have some recessed lighting, are adding in lights in our lighted uppers, under cabinet lighting, over the sink lighting, all in addition to the pendants so I think we will be OK if they only light up the island. Since we are going with darker cabinets I was paranoid about it looking to dark so fingers crossed that I will have enough lighting! Question though, I have been looking mostly at nickel/chrome finishes figuring it would match the faucet, appliances, and cabinet hardware. Then I had a big "aha" moment when I walked into the kitchen and glanced at the ceiling fan in the attached eat in are with an oil rubbed bronze finish. We have the exact same ceiling fan in the family room, which is visible, but not completely open to the kitchen. I hadn't planned on replacing them. So...they have the same option in oil rubbed bronze (unfortunately for about $30 more), would that look ok with my finishes? or should I consider sticking with nickel/chrome and just changing out the ceiling fan instead? My cabinets are cherry stained med/dark, so the oil rubbed bronze would tie in with them, color wise. Boy, I am really tired of making decisions! Comments (4)There is no rule as to how many pendants you should have . I would suggest first finding the pendant that you like and then decide depending on the pendant chosen. Question is why do you think you need brass lamps ? What is the overall design of your home ?
