Hooray! Another happy short person! I wish you all the best with your new faucet!

My DH wasn't a believer in the faucet theory about it hurting your back, and teased me saying that I don't spend that much time at the sink anyway! LOL All kidding aside, it has helped my back so much, and I can stand there longer...that is if I want to!

I hear you, my husbands theory is everything goes in the dishwasher....NOT the case. He doesn't get that certain pots, pans knives dont go in. PLus, I rinse everthing bfore loading.

Hmm, hadn't seen the Delta Allora before. It seems to be a close cousin to the Brizo Venuto that I have. (Brizo is the premium brand for Delta - Like Lexus/Toyota.)

We do those things, too. My DH meant that I don't spend that much time at the sink anyway, though, as a joke. He knows that sometimes we let things go a little more than we should...yes, that includes him. I've been better since I got my new counters, sink, faucet, and floors! It's nicer being here now. All I need now is a TV! That's next.

Yay! Love to hear a happy ending -- especially one that came with a simpler solution rather than a more difficult one (getting under sinks is bad enough -- having to remove them when undermounted and not damaging anything -- impossiblke in my situation).

I am tall, and I want a good reach too. I had my faucet turned yesterday -- and my back could feel the difference when I brought it back to the center.

dd70 - slightly OT but with current DWs and enzyme detergents you shouldn't be rinsing all your dishes - just scrape. The enzyme detergent needs the dirt to work properly - you can actually etch your dishes and glasses if you rinse them. I know a number of people who have a problem breaking this habit!

DD70 I am glad it worked out for you. Is it the reach of the faucet or is it some other dimension/feature?

weissman-no kidding! it's just such a habit. I will try to stop.
mayvenne-For me it was the reach of the faucet. My original was only 8" (from neck to spout) and the water ran directly down the drain(which is where some say it should go to reduce splashing, I have to disagree now). My new one has a reach of almost 10" I believe, which makes the water run in front of drain. The 10" makes it easier for me to wash dishes.

Glad to hear you like the Delta Allora. I'm thinking of getting it in my new kitchen! I just can't justify spending $500 and up on some of the other popular faucets.

Well, I wanted to see it too (even though I LOVE my Grohe Ladylux Plus), so I looked at the website where I bought my faucet, faucetdirect.com, which carries the Delta Allora. I've linked it below, with the stainless steel version that the OP has. I don't know what happened with the OP and efaucets.com, but I had a couple of very good experiences with faucetdirect.com, in case anyone is shopping for a faucet.

I am glad that it all worked out for Dd70. This forum is great for making people feel better, and for offering alternative solutions to seemingly insoluble problems.
