Real cherry juice is wildly expensive around where I am. I have to buy it for my father to drink - doctors orders. I am not understanding how cherry juice would some how act like prune juice??

If you don't like the taste you can mix it with seltzer or sweet soda or even other juice.

Make sure you are buying REAL cherry juice if you are interested in the touted health benefits unique to cherry juice. Read the labels. A lot of the junk on grocery store shelves is apple juice with a tiny amount of cherry concentrate added. My 82y/o mother got fooled buying a product that said *Cherry* in big letters on the front label and I had to point out to her the ingredient list to show that she was not getting what she thought she was buying.

DH mixes 1 soup spoon in 1 glass on water every morning.

He swears it helps and can tell the difference when he doesn't drink it.
