My dear friend Peppi knows my inability to pass up unique gadgets and my love of things hot. She sent me a tool to satisfy both!

Thank you Peppi, I love it. I will put it right to work making Jalapeno Poppers.

Now that is a nifty gadget indeed - and one that has been needed for some time. You don't even have to chance touching one little hot pepper seed. Cool!

Thanks Fenworth for that heads up on carbon steel. My grandmother's knife does get rusty if left wet but it is easy to get the rust off with a regular kitchen scrubby. And I just remembered my most recent gadget, and this really qualifies as a gadget. Its a wood kitchen ruler with magnetic button for hanging on fridge, a hook for pulling out the oven rack and forked end for pushing rack back in. It was $2.50 at a cute little local cook store. However, my new fridge doesn't support magnets so I hang it on the access panel on my radiator cover :)!

Similar gadgets have been available in most every hardware and big box store in the country for years and years. I've used paint pads a couple different times, on smooth walls, with good results. Like any other paint technique, there's a bit of a learning curve. Still, not a terrible way to paint if you object to rollers and brushes. However, I'm not sure it would be worth it to order this particular item. Like I said, paint pads and their various styles of handles are readily available.

Wow thanks Kelly! It might just be worth it to try. Sorry for kinda hi-jacking your thread! How did you find that website anyway? Never heard of it before. They have some interesting stuff on there. It kinda reminds me of the old mail order company I used to order from back in the 80's and 90's (before the internet) called Colonial Garden Kitchens. They had some unusual roses for sale along with kitchen and household items. Waaay back then I ordered what roses they had, most of which were never really heard of anywhere else, and very well could actually be known by some other names. Altho Vintage Gardens got ahold of one of them that I ordered to replace the original back before they closed up. And that one was GREEN DYNASTY. CGK also had a striped one that I can't remember the name of.... something like CANDY CANE or something like that. Ended up being a climber, which I had no place for at the time, so I planted it at my mom's, but my dad wouldn't let her water anything, so it died. The only rose I still have from them is a lavender called BLUE WEDGEWOOD, which is very lovely. I have no idea if it is actually something else tho. They also had offered WORLD PEACE before it was more widely offered elsewhere. I often wondered what happened to them. I got a lot of neat kitchen gadgets and stuff. They were located somewhere back east and the roses came from some nursery in Pennsylvania. I think the name was Lakeland Nursery maybe. Something like that anyway. Well, I think it would be worth trying. They're cheap enough! I have a feeling it'll be like Michigan Bulb or Gurney's and the roses will probably be all dried out. But if they are at least close to being alive, I could soak 'em for a week or so. Be worth it. Thanks for the heads up!! I'll let you know what the result is.... Oh... I got ROSE OF HOPE last fall from Chamblee's. Hasn't bloomed yet, but I'll be anxious to see it when it does bloom!!

Bad. My SQ stackable unit is 2 years old, well under the 5 year warranty that SQ promotes. Now that it's throwing error code, SQ pushes the warranty work to the dealer and the dealer pushes it back to SQ. Meanwhile, not one dealer in my town wants to do warranty service on machines they didn't sell. The latest from the dealer: Hello Yuna Wu, We are not the manufacturer we don't do warranty work you will need to contact the manufacturer on their warranty Thank you, Customer Service There you have it!

I saw those at W/S when I was looking for something else. Looks like it would come in handy for taking most of the pepper membrane out and all the seeds for when making salsa. I try to make an almost heat free salsa for a friend that doesn't like hot and I am sure this would work great.
