Hi everybody. Kathy, yes, I want to get my little plants into the ground, but I'll have to wait a while longer---may have killed my squash plant. I need to check on him.lol Gals, I'm in a rather bad mood today! I think it's just too much "togetherness" with my DH. I love the guy, but... I need some time for myself. Know what I mean? I'm going into MY room, which is actually the dining room where I have a computer in an armoire and some of my things in a file cabinet, some books, etc.-----and chill out in MY ROOM---ALL ALONE. Walked this morning, had toast and turkey bacon and some apple butter --yum yum. Okay. I had a real egg. I'm bad. Haven't had lunch yet. McPeg, I love those flavored waters. I've tried doing some of my own flavorings, but they just don't taste as good as the store-bought kind. Peach is my favorite. Take care, all. I've got a ton to do, we haven't decided yet if everyone's coming here for Easter dinner or we're going to a lodge or something. I may vote "lodge." They have a nice buffet dinner and then we usually walk, tour, etc. Lodge, I say. Lodge! PS This year, after seeing the movie "Passion of the Christ" I just don't feel right about doing the Easter bunny thingy ( and I love bunnies and stuff) so I'm thinking about instead doing some cookies in the shape of fish and having a story with each person's gift about the resurrection and how Jesus met with Peter and other deciples along the sea and they ate fish and talked before he ascended to heaven. A celebration without bunnies. I wish there was a separate spring holiday with bunnies and stuff---aside from Easter. Oh, well. Traditions are sometimes hard to break. I'll have to find a low-fat cookie recipe 'cause I know I'll want to eat a few.

Good call dad. There was a recall on some chocolate coins a while back. Yours may or may not have been a part of that. My kinds know they aren't supposed to eat the candy made in China. I don't knowingly buy it. It's hard to keep it away. At Halloween, I went and read labels in the stores. When we trick or treated, anything that looked like it was from China got thrown out. The kids still go to school and get candy as rewards from the teacher, bus driver, and special events. I find wrappers from that same junk that I've been trying to avoid. My 5 yo dd had an Easter party last week. A well meaning grandmother made party bags and loaded them up with junk from the $ stores. My kids are used to getting the better stuff. Dd took one bite and spit it out because she thought it tasted yucky. I saw other kids eating it. It made me sad. I didn't feel I was in a position to say anything. Well, I hope that you all got a good laugh or at least a smile out of seeing the craziness of Easter decs exploding all over our place. I did end up getting them placed a bit here and there which, I admit, does look very festive, although more than a bit busy (LOL)! DD heads back to her own place on Monday morning and will continue to counsel her clients online from her own apartment. I'm trying to talk her into taking at least some of them with her. The problem is that she doesn't have much storage space in her apartment. She's inherited my love of interior design and of decorating for holidays, and that hasn't left her with very much extra storage space . . . for the time being. And, while my DIL has a degree in interior design, they live too far away to ship decorations. Someday, though! Arcy: you have wonderful Easter decorations, how pretty! This is the first time I've ever seen a three dimensional scene of the crucifixion! I had no idea that was out there! Cawaps: It sounds like you stay really busy throughout this season, though! KSWL: what a pretty Easter table you have! I love the idea of using the vintage-looking postcards! Lonestar: OMG, well I'm in good company with you and holiday decorating!!! Christmas is still my biggest decorating season. It used to be followed closely by Halloween but, like Easter, I've backed off a lot in recent years. Part of me really wants to donate a lot of them. I did that a couple of years ago with many Christmas decs. DD will be moving into a much larger apartment at the end of May.
