Bud meets the Easter Bunny

I haven't posted pictures of Bud lately and he's getting so big. I took lots of pictures when the kids came for Easter Dinner on Friday.

He was so excited to be here that he tried to wiggle right out of his carrier:

As you can see, he really enjoyed meeting our own personal "Easter Bunny":

After he took all the things out of his Easter Basket, it looked like a good place to be:

Makayla had a good time at UmmMa's house too. First she bounced on the trampoline with Mom:

Then she went for a ride on Ashley's "horse" swing:

She really enjoyed her chocolate bunny:

The WonderWeiner stood guard and kept everyone safe:

Finally, the kids wore out, Makayla snuggled with a blanket and Bud slept on his Mom:

Finally, about 9 p.m., Makayla announced: "Daddy, I'm tired. Take me home. UmmMa will carry me to the car." She was right, as usual.

They are all beautiful! and it looks like it was a perfect day, UmmMa! I love the one of Bud and the bunny, great picture! and Makayla and the blanket and Bud and Mommy! Thanks for sharing, Annie! Fun pictures!

Dianne, (SassyD) I'm finally getting around to saying a big THANK YOU for the bunny box. My son in law had given it a quick check for perishables and the stashed it out of sight and reach of the "boys". There was lots of Chocolate, definately enough to share, even though the kids had a good stash of their own. Never was a way to have "too much" chocolate.LOL There were some cute decorations to make my new kitchen counters look festive for spring. I especially liked the ceramic bird house. It was such nice colors and I'll later find a home for it outside The big Fairy with the lilly is so beautiful. That is now the second fairy I have gotten and I may eventually do a fairy garden like some of the others have written about. For now, she is staying inside and will sit on the coffee table when I finally get some furniture. She is now right by the front door as official welcoming spirit for the new house. I know I'm fortgetting a bunch of stuff as it was a big box and packed full. I made a list but have not yet gotten everything unpacked here. I only have until May 23rd to work here and I'm just pulling things out of suitcases as I need them. It was really hard to leave the beautiful spring weather in MD and return here too work. I have lots too do here but I'm missing the blooms on the iris from last years swaps and planting. I'll need to wait another whole year to see what color they are. PM, I would guess that our weather isn't TOO similar, but then I've never been west of the Mississippi! lol! I'm sorry for high-jacking the thread but I want to ask Candy about those withdrawals. :p How long since you've played??? and what kind of play/frequency do you do? We're die-hard golfers here and play lots of charity events (scrambles) so our typical golfing season ends in mid-November, and that's with play on the "nicer" days through Oct/Nov with highs in the upper 40s, not TOO strong of a wind, and not too much rain. :p We got lucky and had an exceptionally warm day the first week of Dec. and were able to play 9 holes. Love doing that when I see snowbanks on the way to the course. lol! Courses usually re-open in April sometime, depending on the snow melt and course wetness. It's early to open in March, but does sometimes happen. :) I finally tried the indoor driving range at the Turning Stone Casino a few weeks ago! nicest indoor range I've been to. We're going again this week! :) My apologies for taking the tangent on the thread, but it's really Candy's fault for mentioning golf withdrawals! LOL!!!. I've been wanting to talk golf with her for so long, but didn't dare start a new OT thread. :p We will now return to normal programming. lol!

"Because Asparagus causes an order (odor) when going to the potty (was that delicate enough?) I'm concerned, as the hostess, that I should not afflict this on my guests." As this act is (usually) performed in private, I can't see as how it would be a problem to anyone. It doesn't leave a lingering, offensives body odor, As garlic does. Now that is a whole 'nother story! It seems people will consume copious amounts of it, in public and privately, And reek of it for days. Are they concerned about the effect on people around them? Is it something people consider when preparing meals for guests? I often wonder about that when reading some of the recipes posted on this forum. Many really do seem to like to pile on the garlic! Oh yes, I know it is supposed to be good for you, And I can see why. Eat much of it, And on one will ever get close enough for you to contract any illness from them! :>) Rusty

That cake is adorable. I have made poured fondant years ago and although it's not easy it did make my cake look like a shiny space ship! And it tasted as good as the fondants I remember from little fancy tea cakes in my youth. (The chocolate fondant was wonderful.) But the fondant I see is thick and dull and truthfully not anything I wanted to eat. Is the stuff you make Sol good to eat? Is it thin and shiny and poured or the thick stuff you roll and drape? I would love a recipe for the poured, shiny and delicious chocolate fondant of my childhood.

GREAT pictures! Bud is looking like a little boy, not so much a baby. Wow, he's really growing. Makayla is just a doll. She doesn't have UmmMa wrapped around her little finger, does she? :-) (Looks like you had a nice, warm day too.)

And I was also going to say that Bud is looking very much a little boy. Nothing girlish about his appearance.
I bet both he and Makayla were so pleased to have a real Easter Bunny sitting right there on the floor with them.
Isn't life great when you're a grandm....ooops I mean an UmmMa !

Great pics Annie, thanks for sharing. Those are two great looking and obviously very happy babies. Mom and Dad are doing a great job.

PS: That reminds me...do we have a big day coming up? Should I be watching for the invitation?

Sharon, don't hold your breath. Amanda and David were planning to get married this summer. David's sister surprised her mother with the announcement that SHE was getting married, the wedding date is May 20. David's mother says she just can't "cope" with two weddings in one summer. Then Bruce's mother announced that she wasn't coming back to Michigan twice, if she came for Ashley's graduation she wouldn't be back for a wedding. Amanda and David both said "never mind", they don't really care whether they get married or not.

Of course, with Ashley graduating from High school in May, taking a trip to Costa Rica in July and starting college in August, I've kind of got a full summer too, but I don't think I would have made any announcements to the kids about not being able to "cope". LOL

Maybe next year. (shrug) They seem perfectly happy to go on as they are doing now, so I guess it doesn't really matter to me either.

David's Grandparents? Oh, now they're unhappy....

Wow, are they growing up fast! Little Bud (what's his real name?) isn't so little anymore. Makayla is a doll! Looks like her mama.

Harper, Bud's real name is David Adam. Because his father is also David, it's gets too confusing. I dislike "Baby Dave", which is what David's mother calls him.

So I call him "Bud". BudKaiser, almost like the beer. (grin) Amanda does not think I'm funny, but Bud has stuck and so Bud he is.

How sweet it is.
I really enjoyed Buddy's reaction to the "Easter Bunny." I'll bet that bunny felt like a rock star with the wee ones. Heh. That picture is a definite keeper.

I also loved the sweet, sleepy look on Makayla's face. Looks like she had enough excitement for one night. I hope she made a killing on the Easter Egg Hunt.

You're right, Sol, the Midnight Bunny was just loving all that attention, she soaks it up.

As for the Easter Egg hunt, of course she made a killing. She was the only "hunter" at UmmMa's house!

Great photos of beautiful subjects Annie! I think my favorite is Bud grinning in the easter basket. I notice that Amanda's head is missing from most of the photos she is in. LOL!! Around here when people come over they say hi to Sebastian and Julian and then sometimes they say hi to Lewis and myself.
