No spring pics yet, but youve inspired me now!

wow, Im jealous. My view will be into my neighbor's kitchen, 15 feet away. I dont want to give up the light, though, so I plan on frosting the lower portion, or using cafe curtains. Hope it will look ok....

I really like cafe curtains. They're so cheerful and still let in a lot of light, but give you privacy, too. I think they'll look great!

This may not be your style, but these cafe curtains seem perfect, in this kitchen :)

Warm weather views... a different kind of beauty:

Here is our view yesterday AM. Everything is in full bloom here. Dogwoods and azaleas have never been more beautiful. Hope you all get to see Spring soon. LL love that gorgeous snow...but glad it is not here :) Elyse....our roses and clemmies around the pool are almost ready to put on a first show...will post when they really get going.

Technically, I don't have a window in the kitchen. It borrows its views from either end, from the dining and living areas.

Not much exciting going on here. Bulbs are up (and spent, mostly, save for a few irises) and dogwoods have bloomed, and hostas are peeking up. But none can be seen from the kitchen.

What do I see when I look outside my kitchen window. I see hedges that need trimming, bushes that need pruning, garden beds that need hoeing, planter boxes that need cleaning out, and a lawn that needs aerating and de-mossing. That's what I see.

Note...that pic is with a zoom on the coyote...Will post the view widened later tonight!

Here's my beautiful view. Not much to do when the house next door is about 10 feet away! No more snow, but not much to see. Unfortunately, this is the b**chy neighbor, so no waving!

Lavendar lass - Sorry, no photos, but my view was much like yours....except even more snow! Not to worry, Spring will be here soon, along with "finding" new muscles that have not been used all winter long!!! :)

Here's our view: Way too early for the pool to be open - but it's being enjoyed anyway as a result of this rainy spring.

Not in yet, but this summer it will be the Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier!

I am really very glad to see such beautiful scenes. Unfortunately, I don't have such kitchens. When I look out from the kitchen's window, I see lots of traffic and pollution. I always wanted to live at such beautiful places. I hope some day my dream will comes true.

Not at all springy here in MA. This was 2 weeks ago.

I see a pile of snow melting atop a pile of topsoil set aside for this spring's new front yard landscaping. DH says that it's "that time of the month" for dogs: "Muddypaws." (Say it aloud and maybe you'll get the joke. He is known for his odd humor and attempts at puns.)

I see the ten dump truck loads of dirty dirt that came out of this hole today. In a week I hope to see a beautiful patio area but so far.....not so good lol

My current kitchen is central to the house, and though there are double windows, they face the driveway and not much of a view.

Had more of that white stuff over night, so this is what it looks like now.

My first house had a window out to the back yard, and we put in a big patio window of the eating area. Now that was a view worth looking at! Some day I'll have time to garden at this home . . .

Your picture makes me want to cry. All I've got is snow, snow, and more snow, for another month yet.

Shadco, oh i love the water views with the snow. So serene. And the piers make the view so much more interesting, the way they draw the eye. You should get out your oil paints and paint it!

dawn you just moved in to my 1 st place...wow...how serene and I love the kitty in the chair...he is SO pleased to be warm and cozy. The horses are just a bonus. Spring will be here soon and you have this gorgeous view in the mean time. What part of the country are you located ???? c

shadco... seriously, I'm moving into that room. I don't take up much space, don't eat much, and will gladly cook/bake/clean for you. That space is a dream!

Here's mine fall during consruction and what we looked this winter, and this week: spring is coming. Can't wait for summer!

Out my kitchen window, about 10' away, is my neighbor's bedroom window. And about 5' away is the neighbor's tiny dog run that houses 3 dogs (better than the 5 it used to be) and hasn't been scooped all winter. Needless to say, the kitchen windows stay clamped shut. It also doesn't provide great incentive to clean my kitchen windows :/

Such lovely views!! Shadco & dawnt so stunning. I have pics of deer outside my window too but only one at a time! (: And now that the coyotes are around, we see less deer and the coyotes more often!

Oh our coyotes are still here. They had a baby last summer and our neighbor walked (or ran in a panic) outside to find her puppy playing with the coyote puppy doing the little doggy bows with each other and all. While the pup was cute and harmless, she was concerned mommy coyote wouldn't take to their playing as well!

sallysue where are you !! ??? That is a gorgeous view . Wow...I love the colors. You will hear the peepers peeping and the crocus will be up in days. Please post pics. c

we are in west michigan, about a mile from the Big Lake (Lake Michigan) - snow is in the forecast tonight :)

Hey Sallysue, We have a cottage in an Indiana town just south of the In/Mich border. Our little town borders the more well known Michiana, which does sit on the border. We do go to Oinks a few times each summer, if you are anywhere near! The lake is beyond words in that part of the country.

We're in Chicagoland most of the time.

House still under construction. Everything covered with dust, and window screens are filthy. Think I'll ask the builder to take the screens off.

Outside my modest little 50's ranch. Ignore the hanging laundry! We're still figuring out a new flooring for the patio. This was about 2 weeks ago, today the rose bush has 5 gorgeous blooms.

This view is in front of my drop-in sink (I am one of those rare creatures who wanted a drop-in sink in my soapstone - seemed appropriate for a 50's house. :)
