I have it on my calendar that Celtic Thunder will be shown in our area, tomorrow night. I am such a fan of this group, and am glad Paul is still with them, at least for a while. I have DVD's of two of their shows, there is another I want to order, and if I like the current show, I'll order that one too. With TV programing getting more and more crappy, it is nice to pop in a CT DVD in and watch quality entertainment.

Their new one "Heritage" is good - it goes back
to the roots of the Celtic music.

Ryan Kelly also has his own solo album out now.
A lot of the songs he wrote. "In Time" is the name.

I was amazed at Damian's voice- now that he's older it has really deepened.

Maire, it has been fun to see Damian grow up on these shows. I remember the first show of theirs I saw, and he sang Puppy Love,I thought what a cute kid. Then, in the next couple of shows his voice was 'going south' as his height was going 'going north' LOL Sure looking forward to tomorrow night.

We love CT. Only saw part of the Heritage show he other night but it was so enjoyable.

I saw the latest CT show last night. They sure didn't disappoint me. Such a good show. I was glad to see Neal get a solo and I really liked his duet with Keith. I am sad that Paul will be leaving the ensemble, i think he is the best tenor I've heard, and I get a kick out of how he can waggle his eye brows in a funny lecherous way. All in all, another entertaining show and I'll be ordering it from Amazon soon.

LOL Dottie I too enjoyed his eyebrow thing during A Place In The Choir. That song was a pleasant addition. Everyone just let go and had a good time with it. And hearing Damian singing bass was a bit more of a surprise.

Did anyone else find it ironic for them to have Damian singing Happy Birthday Sweet 16 in the prior show? Somehow hearing him singing you've grown up before my very eyes, well, look up ironic in the dictionary!

I just wish they'd do more songs on these show. But, leave 'em wanting more I guess. And yes, seeing Neil get more airtime is good. I hope he doesn't get bumped out with Emmett coming in. The guy is really talented. I like Paul Byrom's personality, and his voice for certain songs, but I like Neil as a better tenor overall. I haven't heard Emmett yet. Be interesting to see what they do with the group. I don't like to see Paul leave. I don't think it's a good move on his part but there might be something in the background prompting it too, who knows.

Interesting show and an interesting group. So little on TV that's worthwhile watch AFAIC, it's nice to get a few shows like this.

Good morning friend Cynic....this is the first I heard about an Emmett coming on the Celtic Thunder train. I've been so busy with Hubs surgery and getting ready for our move, I haven't gone on-line to read their blogs. I'll try to do that and check out what's happening. About this new show, there was so much I enjoyed and yes I was impressed with Danians voice being so low on that last song....which I so enjoyed, the singing and the dancing. A real toe tapper.

CT were on QVC today selling their Heritage CD. That song--A Voice in the Choir--is so sweet. You cannot help but be lifted up by it. I'd like to get the CD.

The audio of Place in the Choir is online but it loses a lot without the video to go with it. The choreography was very entertaining and integral to the full enjoyment of this song. Many of their songs have poor choreography so hearing it is just fine, but like I said, I think it loses a lot without seeing them doing the hoedown!

Cynic, we have mentioned Paul's eye brow waggle. I have DVD'd of two of their shows, and in the one called, Take me home, he sings the song, Nights In White Satin, and when a very pretty gal walks by him wearing a white satin gown, the camera gets a close up on him just as he looks into it does his waggle. So Funny! I just loved their, Place In The Choir. After the move, i'm going to order a DVD of the new show from Amazon.

OK, we have watched the show 3 times this month. I just love them but oh, the earworms! I can't get some of these songs outta my head. Place in the Choir is one of them. I have down loaded some of the songs to my Ipod.

Oh, I know what you mean lindyluwho, there's several of them that get in my mind and don't let go. At least they're songs I *like* and can handle over and over! What's annoying is when a bad song or jingle gets in there and won't leave!

Dotmom, I didn't notice it before. If I see the show again I'll pay closer attention. Speaking of eyebrows, I've noticed that Damian has always had active eyebrows! They alternate. I thought he might grow out of it but so far hasn't. But then, he's only 18. And bringing in a 20 year old... George is going to feel older yet!

I just watched many of the songs from their Christmas special. Maybe I saw all of them, I'm not sure but what I saw was great, at least what I saw of it. Wish I would have seen the whole thing at Christmastime but it actually put me in an Xmas spirit again.

BTW, for those who are interested, Emmett Cahill's last name is pronounced "Call".
