Yes- I keep in touch with my niece, nephew and both of my cousins. We have very few family members left so we stick together.

I try to keep in touch but some cousins make that difficult. It is an off and on thing.

I write one cousin frequently and an aunt and uncle once in a while. Others I might email a couple times a year.

On my dad's side, I get Christmas cards from a few cousins, an aunt and another uncle. If I get around to sending cards, I send them one. Every few years I might see them, and we have a good time, but don't keep up in between. We are spead out, and always have been. There are other on that side I just would not choose to spend time with. My dad is not particularly close to his siblings, and doesn't even really like a couple of them. ;o) So I guess that sort of trickles down.

On my mom's side, I grew up close to my cousins and aunts. We were friends, not just relatives. We had sleep overs and generally had a blast together. We lived close by and our families took trips and had holidays together. I moved away, they are all still in the same town. There, they all get together every Friday for pizza and games. I guess if I was there, I would join them sometimes. I call my aunts a few times/year and send email. I love them and appreciate them in my life and in my kids' lives. I occassionally email one cousin. However, when we visit we make up for the quiet! The cousin I sometimes email, we'll stay up all night long talking! When I go up there for July 1st, we play cards, talk and eat for 4 days. We took a family retreat a couple years ago... 28 of us, aunts, uncles, cousins and cousins' kids. We had a blast! So we aren't good about regular, frequent contact, but we do make the effort to get back together and catch up. Well, I have to make the effort, since it goes without me the rest of the year. ;o) Both grandparents on that side have been gone for many years, but mom and her siblings are very close.

Goodness. I'm very surprised by the answers. I keep in contact with every Family Member I know. Even those I don't. I have been through Genealogy Forum with my Family and we share information. I have a huge family and love it.

No - keep in touch with a couple of friends, my kids and my brother.

I have tried, but it is a two way street, and only a couple cousins have chosen to answer, and one of them died last May, the same day my son, Brian died. I do keep in touch with my sister's daughter, and of my late brothers three sons, only two answer emails and Christmas cards.Sad, because time is running out and family is so important. Dottie

I only have 1 Uncle left and lots of cousins. I am the only one in the family that keeps in touch with most of them. On Facebook I am in contact with all my 2nd cousins as well.

2 years my cousin Caroline passed away. She was the first one of the "cousins" to die. She kept asking me to come and visit her whenever I bumped into her and now I regret that I never did. I always wanted to but never got around to it.

I posted a message looking for info about my Dad's family on a genealogy forum. I got a message in return from an 80 year old woman from England saying she was my Dad's cousin. I didn't even know she existed! She was my Great Uncle George's daughter Mary. She called me on the telephone and we talked for an hour. She remembered my Dad visiting Liverpool when he was in the Navy during WW2 and bringing the family oranges. Mary's daughter calls me from England as well.

I keep in touch with my cousin from Scottsdale, mostly. She'll stay here when she comes back to see her mother (in a care center). Mom and I've stayed at her home too.
Also a cousin in Snohomish, Washington.
I only have 2 nephews and 2 nieces, and I see all but one frequently. Her husband is in the Navy, so we see them when they come home. In July they'll be moving to Rhode Island for 10 months, then they hope to get back to Jacksonville.

I email with some cousins but mostly just jokes and such. It's sort of like hello, I'm thinking about you but without really having to say anything.

I have one cousin I saw last year for the first time since December 1999. We have stayed in touch sporadically through the years but are emailing and talking on the phone a lot theses days. Our Aunt had a heart attack last weekend. She lives in Florida and has no kids and no family in Florida. We have been checking on her and giving each other updates every day or so. She will be 88 on Thursday and is doing great.

Not at all. Got a rather silly Christmas card from my youngest brother...the only contact for over a year, and we share the same birthday. The other brother lives just 12 miles away, and I almost never see him. Cousins? I have no idea where they are. Aunts and uncles? All deceased.

I have always kept in touch with aunts and uncles on both sides, some more then others but at least a Christmas card and letter. Most have passed away so only have a few that I still write to and send cards.

I keep in contact with the cousins on my Mom's side on a regular basis. We even meet and visit for relative's special occasions like my Mom's 90th birthday. I tried with the cousins on my Dad's side but they were so much older, they never responded back.

Unfortunately I don't keep in touch with nieces or nephews anymore. Their choice, not mine. I use to send birthday cards & gifts and Christmas presents and never received a thank you or acknowledgment so by their teens I stopped sending them.

No - keep in touch with a couple of friends, my kids and my sister. The only time I see cousins and nieces and newphews is when there is a death in the family.

My mother is an only child, all of Dad's siblings are dead, so I've lost touch with cousins. I have one cousin on my Mom's side I see a couple of times a year, that's it.

No, many in my immediate family are estranged. I do talk to my mom and a sister. Other than than, no one really talks to anyone else (from what I know).

The only aunts I know of are on my mom's side. One I don;t like and the other I email a few times a year.

As for my nephews and neices from one of my sisters, they've been influenced by their mom not to bother with any of us because she chose to separate herself so she thinks they should too (and they do). They're all adults.

Other N & N I only see once or twice a year during the holidays.

I have one elderly cousin in Germany thar I don't keep in touch with and one here that I do. As a matter of fact I should call him to see if his town is busy with reporters. He lives in the same town where Octomom got her new house.
