My only suggestion would be trying to make the going out for walks a real fun experience and you need to relax. They sense our anxiety and react. Try to make it fun and happy so she'll relax and not fear it will hurt.

When my dog Scottie had surgery years ago on his stomach, I was so upset and stressed out that I actually conveyed my anxiety on to him. When I carried him into the vet's office for his check up, the vet asked how he was doing and I told her, "oh, he's not doing so good." When I set him down in the vet's office and the staff starting talking to him like he wasn't sick, he started jumping around and well, made a complete fool out of his mama. LOL He was fine, but because I was carrying him everywhere and babying him, he reacted to my anxiety and actions. It's true, it happens.

I understand about the transfer of stress. I have been taking all three dogs out and ignoring Lucy to see if she will go. No luck though. When we go for walks, all three of the dogs go and since Lily (the puppy) is still learning to walk on a leash, I pay most attention to her.

My neighbor invited me to try her yard, but a darn firecracker went off and all of us jumped. I will try her yard again a little later. She has two dogs, so we thought maybe Lucy would try to mark.

Why did she have the urinary studies done to begin with? I assume something about her voiding habits weren't normal to begin with to have had the test done.

unless your dog is having some more medical issues, I would suggest you take her to a nearby park, or lake, or off road area or even a dog park, to put her in situations where there have been lots of dogs where her nose is going to trigger that bladder to empty more often, good luck

The neighbors yard did the trick this evening. She has two dogs. We are fortunate to have great neighbors. She told us to use her yard whenever we needed to. We also can use the yard at our Vets office if we need to. Lots and lots of dog smells there. Just at 11:00 at night I really don't like to jump in the car and drive to the Vets, but will if that is necessary.

Her problem is exertion incontinence. She dribbles urine even going up a couple of steps or if she stretches, etc. Her urologist is out until July 13, so we are still waiting for a treatment plan for the incontinence. We just have to get her over this post procedure period for now.
