Today is my daughter's birthday

My baby girl is 26 today! Could not be any more proud of her. Love her so very much.

The girls are soon to be 7 months old and my son moved over to Poland before Thanksgiving. He comes back here every few months but plans to stay there until the immigration applications for his wife and babies are processed so they can all move here. He's quite the Mr. Mom now that his wife has gone back to work. Of course he has his mother in law and a twice a week nanny to help but he's falling into the routine rather effortlessly. Something about this younger generation of parents..the Mom's expecting full participation by the Dad's. Weird. I couldn't wait for my husband to go back to work after we brought the baby home.

patty...i can feel your pain in your post...i am so sorry about the loss of your brother and how hard this day is for you.....there is a special place in my heart for sibling loss....because it is almost as if somehow and for some reason people who have not experienced it seem to think their pain is less than that of a parent losing a child or someone losing a spouse....i know because of the way people have treated my son on the loss of his sister,my daughter...i read in compassionate friends that when one loses a parent they have lost their past..and one that loses a spouse they have lost their present and when a parent loses a child they have lost their future...but when someone loses a sibling they have lost their past present and future......and i see it eveytime i look at the dead look in my sons eyes...Happy birthday to your brother and God bless you...terri

Thanks, both of you. Wildchild, your son officiated at your daughter's wedding? That's fabulous! My husband's ex-wife (with whom I'm friendly--affectionate, even :-)) got to marry her granddaughter last year. I wasn't there, but I'm sure it was a very moving experience for all. I love the idea of the pirate party! We're anticipating a party this summer to celebrate the wedding. Since they live on a lake, summertime is party time. I doubt we'll be in costume, but as long as I don't have to wear a bathing suit, I'm fine. LOL My daughter tells me she had a photographer there (a "semi-pro," she said), so I hope to have pictures to share.

I talked to her this evening. She said that it was a real thrill to be there, that the interior of the building is beautiful and very impressive, and that the meeting did not go as well as they had hoped. She is 4'11" and adopted.

Oh no, booo kat wa. Steelers are the best! lol The really funny thing is she lives in Baltimore. She would go with her friends to tailgate parties at the ravens home games. She would send me pics of herself in a literal sea of purple and there she is in her black and gold.

So funny.

Well, I raised her older brother also. His birthday is next Wed. One wk between their birthdays, he's going to be.....31....no! How did 30 years of life fly by so extremely fast?

Thank you for all the compliments. She is gorgeous. And better yet, she is a truly NICE person. Very caring, very friendly, will help anyone, not a "catty girl" bone in her body. God blessed us greatly.
