My oldest grandson seemed to lose interest in interacting with me at one point in his early development. At that point, he seemed to take more interest in his relatives which provided more excitement than I normally did. Years later, however, my grandson has demonstrated that he loves me and knows that he can depend on me to have his best interests at heart. What you're seeing is your grandchildren's normal development. If you consistently remain a positive for your grandson, he will come to appreciate that in time.

Hi Brightonborn! He is the baby that the link that I posted takes you to. His name is Devin. In the photo he is in a blue and white bouncy chair and is wearing a long sleeved shirt with a red pattern made up of letters on a white background. He has the prettiest big blue eyes and a big smile :-)

My Grandson will be going to Cape Town, S. Africa this summer

Several people I know have been to Cape Town as a stop on the Semester at Sea voyage. They all loved it: Hikes with stunning views off of Table Mountain, One of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world, local wine, and the chance to see some of Africa's famous wildlife. Even if he doesn't learn anything more in the classes than he would in similar classes in America, it will likely be a transformative experience. Yep, same face structure, and he has your eyes when he smiles. That's what I saw in the first pic. They're his own eyes when he isn't smiling. Beautiful family.

I think mom does a great job of keeping them white. He's been playing for at least a month already. But maybe by the end of the season, they won't be so brite.
