Wow Sylvia. You just never know what a day can bring. So wonderful that the other family included Ryans name to the memorial. It does affect so many people and that we all hope and pray that because of this that their deaths would not have been in vain. Yesterday I was preaching to my oldest, Sean just before he took off for the day to be careful himself. Yesterday on my way to take Nathan to my Moms for swimming I was sitting at a red light. As it changed to green I saw another two cars brakes locked coming to a stop to the right of me. I hadn't started accelerating yet but in disbeleif watched as this landscape truck blew through the red! He had tried because his brakes were smoking but he kept going. Thank the Lord we were not going. You just never know. We all need to be prepared. Made me think. (((((((HUGS))))))) Love, Jules

My oldest grandson seemed to lose interest in interacting with me at one point in his early development. At that point, he seemed to take more interest in his relatives which provided more excitement than I normally did. Years later, however, my grandson has demonstrated that he loves me and knows that he can depend on me to have his best interests at heart. What you're seeing is your grandchildren's normal development. If you consistently remain a positive for your grandson, he will come to appreciate that in time.

The talk about navigating reminded me of a story about my niece. Her parents went on vacation and my sister flew up to Boston to take care of the two little ones. DN was not quite 3 and DSis was driving her to nursery school one morning, when Miss Niece told my sister she wasn't a very good driver. My sister ask her why she thought that and she said, "You didn't turn right at the street back there." (Niece was right!) That is the most observant child I've ever known. Didn't mean to hijack your post, Glenda. But my niece is 5 now and still funny!

Geeze, 15 yr old boys often have no idea why they do things. He's a very nice boy, nice parents, lovely grandparents, well brought up. I think boys that age gave occasional "brain farts". The only cure is another year it two of age. Thanks for your help. We live this house and I always feel very responsible for it when we're here. It's not a typical rental house. It was there summer home for years when the owner taught at a boarding school and lived in faculty housing. They rent it for 4 wks each summer and are here the rest of the time - it's a real home and we feel very lucky to rent it each year. Fingers crossed the tree will be okay. I'm going to insist this boy come and apologize to the owners when the return to the island.

Yep, same face structure, and he has your eyes when he smiles. That's what I saw in the first pic. They're his own eyes when he isn't smiling. Beautiful family.

I think mom does a great job of keeping them white. He's been playing for at least a month already. But maybe by the end of the season, they won't be so brite.
