Boo, I have a $15 certificate in my purse right now, a Christmas gift from my secretary.

I'm getting ginger and cloves, because I'm out after my Christmas baking. However, Elery loves the salt free Mural of Flavor, we buy the biggest container possible. I really like their almond extract, I sniff it whenever I go into the store, LOL. I also like their crystallized ginger, their Chili 9000 chili powder and their Vietnamese cinnamon. My nephew loves the venison sausage seasoning and they have a huge selection of dried hot peppers and powders that Elery likes to browse through.

The boss likes their Vindaloo seasoning too.

I'm not much for spice mixes, I like to mix my own....but all their herbs and spices are wonderful if you can't get fresh....like in the winter!

I also like the Vietnamese cinnamon is n...but I had to have containers of 3 kinds together to really KNOW which I liked best!
And their granulated dried garlic is nothing at all like the powder sold by McCormack or Tones or any other supermarket brand.
And I like their Curry powder ( speaking of spice mixes! LOL!)
Oh yeah and their Sechwan peppercorns....and tellcherry pepper.
I just like to go and sniff!

I like the roasted onion and garlic powders. I also get their bay leaves, oregano, tarragon, and basil.

Their cinnamon and peppercorns are good too.

I like the korinjte cinnamon too.
Smoky 4S is a great all-around seasoning.
Smoked paprika is awesome.
Chili powders in whatever you like heat wise.
Alepo pepper.
Their dried peppers are good.
My mom absolutely loves the salad sprinkle.
And I agree with Annie on the Almond flavoring. I could just wear that as cologne I think! LOL

A warning...unless they've reformulated, the shallot powder is good but clumps horribly to the point you can't shake it out of the jar. :-(

A few of the things I have flagged are: Cinnamon (but I don't know which one), Mural of Flavor, Orange Peel, Pizza Seasoning (Yum!) and Poultry Seasoning. I also was think of the Sunny Paris Seasoning but was thinking that and the Mural of Flavor are similar.

A few favorites that I have in house right now are: Adobo Seasoning, Tuscany Seasoning, Green Goddess, Greek Seasoning, Krakow Nights, Sunny Spain, Zatar, Ground Ginger, Hungarian Paprika, Cumin, Cilantro, and Parsley. I also have at least one vanilla bean waiting to be made into vanilla. Yeah, I like their spices a lot!

I was in Penzeys on Christmas Eve Day and had so much fun! LOL

I bought Tuscan Sunset (Italian seasoning), Telicherry Black Peppercorns, Greek Seasoning, Ancho Chili Powder (I can't find it anywhere else), and California pepper.

Their vanilla beans are great, and I am another fan of the Vietnamese Cassia Cinnamon, and their paprikas. I also like the Chili 3000.

Deanna, you are right about the shallot salt, I took my original jar back, they gave me a new jar and that one clumped up too. I took it back again and they gave me a free jar of anything I wanted in return, they have wonderful customer service.

I bought their chipotle chili powder just for RiverRat's chili and their smoked spanish paprika is wonderful.

Fortunately, I have a Penzey's store within an hour of my house, I love the place.

If you sigh up for their catalog, they have lots of free coupons on the front. In the past year I've gotten free cinnamon, free black pepper, free chili powder, free poultry seasoning. The only thing I didn't care much for was the poultry seasoning, it had lemon for some reason.

Oh, and remember, Sharon (Chase) was highlighted in one of their recent issues, with pictures AND recipes!

I'll third the shallot salt issue. I didn't think of taking mine back. Should've. It's humid here and everything clumps but I can always shake it out. Except for the shallot salt.

I have a Penzey's about 10 minutes from the office and I go at lunch when I need something. I love sniffing the spices. I always buy more than I need because it smells good. My son orders on line, and he is the one who discovered that when the free coupon gives you a choice of different spices, you can get all of them by filling in the order the right way.

I went a couple of weeks ago to get my free turkey rub (got bicentennial and I haven't tried it yet) and she gave me two free cinnamons for my two (expired) coupons. I love that place.

Smoked Spanish paprika, minced toasted onion and Madagascar vanilla extract are three of our favorites from Penzey's.

We now have the luxury of having a store nearby, so we can browse and sniff to our hearts' content!
