We are having a kitchen remodel done. I prefer the Moen Ascent Faucet , but the CSL (Classic Stainless model) will delay our install date by about a week. I can get the Delta Allora on time. Questions: In terms of quality - does the Delta Allora compare to the Moen Ascent? Is the Moen warranty better than the Delta warranty? Is the Ascent worth $200 (~60%) more than the Allora? Is it worth waiting an extra week? Either one would have to be compatible with a Blanco Niagara U2 undermount sink. Are there any gotchas re: the sink and either faucet? I have always thought sinks can mix and match, but I want to be sure. We have Moen's Nori pulldowns in both of our kitchen sinks and like them a lot; IIRC I bought them at Lowe's which had the best price at the time. To switch from spray to stream (and vice versa), we don't need to turn off the water first, just push the button on the back of the pull-down part. I'm a big fan of Moen because of their lifetime warranty. Shortly before we moved into our new house last year, the Moen tub spout we originally installed about 20 years earlier in the old house started leaking, and the last time that happened, (10 years previously), we phoned Moen Canada customer service for a new shower valve cartridge, which they sent out cheerfully and for free. I had my doubts 9+ years on, but my husband called them, and sure enough, happily and for free, another shower cartridge was sent out immediately. That said, I've heard good things about Hansgrohe, Delta, and Costco customer service, so I'd just double-check on that. I see a $100 difference in price, not $200. Moen Brantford, requires 1-1/2" diameter hole ($391 CDN) https://www.moen.com/shared/docs/product-specifications/7185esp.pdf I think we are leaning towards the Delta. We like the 1"+ more reach on the faucet and Delta seems to get slightly better reviews or shall i say fewer 1 star reviews. I know that reviews are sometimes a crapshoot but i bought (plan to return) the Moen Kaden and the Delta Marca to see what the finish, reach, heights are of each and the Delta feels sturdier. I guess because gold faucets are just no selling enough to warrant the expense My advice put the RO water through the fridge water dispensor if you have one and forget the tap on the counter and save a hole in the counter too..I could not find a wter dispense that matched my fuacet so went with as close as possible but not gold of course.Kraus makes a gold one I have Kraus faucets and I love them we had a small issue it was taken care of very quickly and the customer service was excellent .BTW I know Kraus is made in China but so are lots of Moens too
