help please: delta or moen kitchen faucets
Comments (15)Moen is so much better than Delta but you have to buy from a plumbing supply store. Moen's faucets are not the same (cheaply made) when you buy form H.D. or Lowe's, that's why they cost less. I've had the same Moen faucets in my bathrooms for over 15 years. I recently remodeled my bathrooms but wanted to keep my chrome finish Moen faucets and the plumber couldn't believe how easy it was to re-install a 15 year old faucet!!! I put Kohler in the kitchen sink and regretted after finish started to scratch off and I am replacing with a new Moen (Brantford model #7185CSL). Can anyone share information about this new mode.!!! Lot's of luck if you decided on the Delta. I just wanted to clear Moen's name for those that didn't have a positive experience. Maybe you had the "cheaper" versions????????????????...See Moreare all faucets equal? Moen, Kohler or Delta?
Comments (3)If I've learned one thing on GW, it's that NOTHING is all equal-- there are subtle differences among all things that we all can enjoy discussing at length! Seriously, though, the summary of my GW reading on faucets: 1) Ask, are its internal parts all metal, non-plastic? or possibly, are all of its parts metal? (Some object to plastic head, some don't.) You can only determine this by reading the specs. Many manufacturers do a range of faucets at various quality levels. 2) Is there a dealer nearby for servicing under warranty? We got a Grohe....See MoreDelta faucet vs Moen Showhouse Ascent Faucet and Blanco sink
Comments (0)We are having a kitchen remodel done. I prefer the Moen Ascent Faucet , but the CSL (Classic Stainless model) will delay our install date by about a week. I can get the Delta Allora on time. Questions: In terms of quality - does the Delta Allora compare to the Moen Ascent? Is the Moen warranty better than the Delta warranty? Is the Ascent worth $200 (~60%) more than the Allora? Is it worth waiting an extra week? Either one would have to be compatible with a Blanco Niagara U2 undermount sink. Are there any gotchas re: the sink and either faucet? I have always thought sinks can mix and match, but I want to be sure. Comments (5)I am also wondering about the Cassidy kitchen faucet, with the Touch20. My home builder swears by Delta, too. The touch feature sounds cool but I wonder how well it holds up over time. We are putting in a 36" farmhouse sink, and I cant decide whether I should go with the more convenient faucet (Delta Cassidy) or opt for a prettier bridge faucet with a separate sprayer from Signature Hardware. Any input is greatly appreciated!...See More- 4 years agolast modified: 4 years ago
