In a discussion a short while ago about Marmite, I mentioned that the store where I had last bought it no longer carries it. Well wouldn't you know, the postman delivered a box containing not just Marmite but goodies from Michigan as well. Annie, you're the best!!!
As you can see, I'm finally going to get a taste of Annie's famous salsa, along with a second jar labeled "Chip-Cat." I'm severely under the weather so my brain isn't working well, but I finally decided that Chip was Chipotle but I'm still lost on the Cat part. I also got a few varieties of home grown garlic which I can't wait to try, and a container of dried tart Montmorency cherries from Michigan:
For the most part I'm going to wait until my taste buds are back to normal, but I did pick at the cherries and they're great. Unless I get a more tempting suggestion, I think I'll be mixing some into a batch of scones this weekend.
Annie, thanks so much. I've been feeling terrible for many days and this package really brought a smile.
