Thank you all, my dear, dear friends. Yesterday we had one of those days here at our house -- no water for 36 hours, Freya sneaking a pizza off the kitchen counter, and the smell of fresh polyurethane pervading the cold, damp house.... On the other hand, I had the loving affection of Tom and my DS Jacob, calls and cards from family, and greetings from all of you. And tonight we're going out to dinner to try celebrate again. Carla, Luanne, Jon, Anita, Lori, Ingrid, Sue, Carolina, Pamela, and Carol -- each one of your messages brought smiles and memories to my mind. I just realized that with the exception of Ingrid, I know each one of you in the Real World (as opposed to online) -- Ingrid, we'll just have to correct that soon. Thank you all so much for the Birthday wishes, pictures, and song! It was an action packed weekend of hockey and more hockey (I think the total was 2 kids, 4 games, 1 loss, 1 tie and 2 wins). On Saturday we had a wonderful dinner at a friend's house, birthday cake and all! DH and the kids gave me a beautiful necklace, so an all-around great day. Thanks everyone! AM The Dinner Chronicles

Thank you all so much for the well wishes! These are truly one of the highlights of my birthday.

I spent the morning at the kids' school watching the 5th grade Hanukah play (stellar!), then worked some hours at the school book fair. I met DH for lunch with the kids, now I'm home getting ready for - you guessed it - Hockey Practice! Good times.

My sister and mother did send me a HUGE box with 40 gifts, mostly small things except the last box which was a beautiful coat. Each of the gifts had a funny memory from a year of my life then (a Barbie for year 8; key chain for year 16, etc..). So wonderful, it made me feel really special.

My close circle of girlfriends are taking me out on Friday night.
