Haven't done the "The World Of War Craft," yet, but that may come. Our GS is 6+ and he is into "Angry Bird", so he'll get some of that, then there are Lego "Action Figures", it's not your father's Legos. We are trying to keep up with the current 6+ age group, and so far we seem to be doing well, because he want's to visit. He also likes working with the ipod mini, that we bought for our daughter for christmas. We also play soft ball in the back yard, go to the local park in his "red wagon". We try to incorporate the new with the traditional.

I guess you'll need to find out why she is mad at you and apologize - even if it's not your fault, if you want to see your grandchildren. If she's not letting you see them, she thinks you did something wrong. You'll have to figure out what's necessary to make things right again and do whatever it takes. I can't imagine not seeing mine, it would break my heart. Good luck.

So sorry they are having to deal with the unimaginable. I will keep Nate, Leslie and family in my prayers. My youngest son is a senior, and life is consumed with talk of prom right now. Hearing that Nate just wanted to attend prom...well...it brings me to tears that he cannot.

You are so lucky to have a number of original windows!! Even the new to copy the old are good. I'd get familiar with John Leeke's website for general "how to" information as it applies to maintenance. I'd also get a copy of Terence Meany's book "Working Windows" - from Amazon or, if you are lucky, your local book store. It's the bible for old windows. If you don't ever want to open the windows, I'd leave the storms on all the time. If you want breezes during warm weather, I'd take the storms off in the spring and return them in the fall and I'd do this for those windows you want to open. I wouldn't worry about the 3rd floor unless it's living space. If you find during this winter that your windows are drafty, I'd get spring bronze weather stripping - can get it on line at Kilian Hardware. A local old fashioned hardware store should also have it or have access to it. If everything is functioning properly, I'd be thankful and not worry about doing something just to do it.
