Here is a slideshow of sunrise here this morning. I took the pics with an older Fuji point and shoot I keep in the car (for such occasions) so, the picture taking quality isn't much to talk about, at least positively, but, one thing we sometimes have out here on the high plains is a nice show when it comes to sunrises and sunsets.

I created a show in Picasa last night. I'm not thrilled with the final product but it looks pretty good. In past years (my older son) the slideshows had animation, which I liked in moderation. I didn't see how to do it in Picasa (honestly, I didn't look very hard). I have music added too. I saw that it can be shared on YouTube, but I know there will be reservations on posting so publicly (the school name and student named are shown). I saw the option to share via a link, but I was too tired last night and called it quits before I could try it. That may be the way to go! Thank you everyone for your help. I felt like I was back in school and cramming to get a project done last night :).

Actually, I like what they did. Slavish adoration of Victorians is not my style. Those old houses are borderline unlivable by today's standards. The kitchens were for servants, the bathrooms archaic and the lack of closet space is maddening. And jeez, they are dark inside. Almost always poorly oriented to take advantage of views and light. I think its current state reflects a better balance of modern living in an old mansion better than the previous owners managed. And outside, a shiny red Tesla S, please! LOL!

Those are beautiful. I've driven across the panhandle a couple times. I didn't realize there was water there. :-)

Ha. When it comes to photographable "patches" of water, they are few and far between Ron. You might have noticed most of my shots of water and sunrises/sunsets are all sunrises. There just isn't any bodies of water close enough to get to conveniently that makes for a decent sun-setting-on-water pic. If you try to take the one above from the opposite direction at sunset, all you get is a marshy mess.

There are some areas that have water when we are wet in this area, but, the drought we have been in for a few years just isn't co-operating with my picture taking. Imagine that.
