I'm not an expert at all and I'm sure you already tried, but I'd hit the upper left cell to choose all and set all at 10pt that way to make sure everything is set the same way. I'd also hit the upper left cell to choose all again, and move the cells width and length (columns and rows) just back and forth so they are all the same for sure (if the are all set the same width and depth). Your cells are programed wrong for whatever reason (possibly your equations are set differently --are you using equations to dump data, or just entering as is information into the cells?

Next, I would look at the print preview.. if the font size problem is showing up there, it may have a problem agreeing with and printing on your printer. Try sending it to another printer or re-adjusting margins to see if that helps...

Last idea, copy and past it into a whole new document and see if that works. Actually, maybe you should try this first (but copy and paste--don't cut and paste)

I was about to try Carla's suggestion about copying and pasting (because I had no idea what the print area was!), but first I needed to print the first page again. When the print window came up, I noticed a box for Ignore Print Area. Hmmm.... I thought.....Print Area..... So I ticked the box and printed my first page. It printed perfectly!

Do you think we can assume the rest of the workbook will print normally if I make sure that box is ticked?

Incidentally, I couldn't find Print Preview. I know I've used this function before, but maybe that was back when I had Excel 2003. The present version is 2007.

Excellent! I went to Page Layout --> Print Area --> Clear Print Area like you said, Chi, and page 2 printed perfectly (without ticking the Ignore box). I think the problem is solved. Thanks so much!

PS: What is the Print Area, anyway?

I would clear the entire document if it's a template because that will prevent it from happening again, whereas the print check box will have to be applied each time. Glad it worked!

In 2007, print preview is listed under print, you have to hover over it.

Print area lets you set it if you only want to print a portion of your spreadsheet. Your print area was probably set to one page, and if it doesn't fit correctly in the designated setting, it auto-adjusts by blowing it up.

I have Office '07 and don't use a print icon to print. I choose print from the area (the main rainbow bubble icon in the upper left) that gives you the choices to open a new file, or "save as", etc...the print option there gives me the option to choose: print, quick print, or print preview. I couldn't live without previewing my stuff first! Your icons or tool bar may be set up differently though. I liked the old way better.
