How can "Gardeners" be impatient? Isn't it awesome just to get a super deal for an item in this economy? Why get frustrated at waiting for a manager to get you a killer price on a plant or any discounted item... I mean, really? Why allow a few extra minutes of wait time ruin finding a great plant deal? I don't understand that stance... It is not logical to me, a gardener, to be impatient about ANYTHING. Life is to short as it is and when it comes to saving a few bucks... I have all the time in the world!

Three things have prevented serious "stepping on" injuries in my multi-animal household. 1) The "Multi-pet shuffle". I haven't done a normal walk in my house in decades. I shuffle. I can't step on little toes if my own feet never leave the ground. 2) I bellow "GIT!!!" if they simply won't permit me to move freely. The right "Do it or DIE!" tone of voice generally gets them all moving in the other direction. 3) If I should move in a manner that lands an animal foot under my own, I'll take a fall before I'll put weight down on the foot. So far, so good. I have no idea how long all of our luck will hold out, though. Laurie

I also really love the Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo, it's dirt cheap and doesn't harm my very delicate fine hair. I just stumbled upon it too. I had bought it for my husband and he didn't use it so I had this huge bottle and used it and was surprised at how well it did for my fine hair and plus, it doesn't make my scalp itch, that has become an issue for me. I also found a conditioner that I love, it's Martix Biolage, the detangling one. Finally, a conditioner that doesn't make my scalp itch AND actually takes the tangles out of my insanely tangle prone hair. I used to shampoo daily because I styled my hair every day. Now, I just put it in a ponytail and call it done. I wash my hair about every third day now. I'd be very afraid to put baking soda in my fragile hair...I'm sure it would destroy it. I once (ONE TIME) used Dr. Bronner's liquid Castile to wash my hair and it damaged it so badly that it had to grow out before it was normal again. UGH! I'm lucky that I have hair, don't get me wrong, but my hair is very weird! My scalp is also very oily...so I cannot go very long without washing. Three days is pushing it and I can only pull it off because I wear it in a ponytail. I also can't stand the smell of stinky hair...UGH! It gets stinky after a couple days. That's when I know it's time to wash!

Some varieties grow bushy, by themselves. I can give Shishito as an example. >>The main becomes a "Y". The each end of "Y" becomes another "Y".. My first year with aleppo seems to have similar growth habit. OTOH, if you want a short but bushy plant, just top the branches are shooting the stars.. This will force the plant to grow more lateral branches. Taking a lesson from BONSAI art, you can give your plant any shape you want.
