mythreesonsnc - We're just south of The Cliffs in Travelers Rest (you're in Davidson, right?). No view of anything but our woods and various critters, but, after 20 years in hot, flat Houston that is more than enough. I did a quick scan of your links & that Finlay house did strike me. TNX. macv - well, if it works the way it is, then mebbie I should stop worrying & just be happy. :D We can do pretty much anything we want on the RHS since that is just the front of the garage. If the ganged windows on the LHS need to change to match, then I need to be careful because that is the egress window from the guest bedroom. We're going to lose the transoms above the guest bedroom windows and "fake" it with trim because those weensy transoms make it stupid expensive. Sorry, that there is no dimensioning, but the garage is a 2-8x5-6 triple. I just worry when I get to the back and there are bunches of 3-0x6-0 windows. Is 2/2 still OK when each lite is now 1-6x3-0? sue36 - I know what you mean. I want it to feel "homey" & I'm not sure the 2/2 does it. However, I'm willing to accept what the pros say. Thanks, so much. Y'all can't believe how much I appreciate the inputs. Jo Ann

Karen, thanks for storing and posting all the pics that you share. I really enjoy going back and looking at them all the time.I am trying to get some motivation back to do something. Seems like it and my energy has just dissapeared, Was in Michaels today and bought some of the black glitter spray and thought I would redo some of my little Christmas village pieces for haloween like the ones on Pintrest. I think Grayson would enjoy helping me do that.I also picked up a pair of black and orange striped socks, going to try to do something witchy with them, just haven't decided what.I went in Tusday Morning and they had some summer stuff on sale, 90% off, I got 4 anchor desert or salad plates, a matching dip bowl with a spreader and 2 different sets of 4 placemats priced @ $9,99 for just a little over $5.. I"m definately one of those people that it doesn't take much to make happy. Maybe a little better storage system.......

moccasin - those are some nice lights! i can see why you like them. I bet they're more than 20-30 $s each tho... I loved that the globes come in colors... I'd stay away from the red tho. OTOH that could be good for an emergency signal to a neighbor. I'm too poor to pay much for the lights - even if I find a SWern one i like it's sure to be more than 30.00 and I think I should limit it to that. I need 3 - plus a few (plus) inside need replaced based on they are UGLY. I found these 2 at lowe's. both plain but would do the job - cheaply. it'll probably be the first one unless I find something better for the price in the store. around 25.00 with clean lines. I'd have to see how my chubby little fingers fit for changing the bulb. it's better I don't have to mess with those little screws and chance dropping the globe since things seems to jump out of my hands. I remember changing bulbs in the screw on globe type yrs ago. max wattage is 100w this one is about 21.00. I like it, again clean, simple lines - this one has a frosted globe. has the little screws tho and max wattage is 60w.

Yeah with the comment about frost I knew where you were going ... my thinking was being "springy" it wouldn't freeze as deep or at all. Being pretty close to Lake Michigan and in the winter we get the perma cloud with the cold air coming across it. Thus plants wouldn't be getting much sun thus not needing much water in the winter if there was such a unicorn to begin with. This area never had any problem before this new drain field. Weird thing is further down hill the soil is drier. The problem I'm having is the lawn mower sinking in this wet area. In the 25 years I've been in my house I've trenched 2 4" pipes down to the lake for my gutters. Then the drain field I'm talking about. Later trenched electricity down to the lake and pressure pipe back towards the house for my lake pump. Then a major landscaping project, then a 4 season porch so I don't know if I can handle tearing up my lawn again. This grassy area is about 24' in diameter and what I might do is plant some shrubs here thus I won't have to mow it. Any suggestion on shrubs (under 5' tall) for this area? Wet, mostly sunny, clay?
